This is my first use of a BB cream and I have to say that it doesn't seem to make any difference on my skin. I use it under my foundation but I really don't see any improvement. I have decent skin but I have some small dark spots and they aren't covered any better using the BB cream than just using the foundation alone.

Sheer coverage, but causes breakouts. I'm acne prone in my late 20s. I tested this twice. It's too bad cause I liked the color and natural finish.

I have only been using Makeup when leaving the house which I normally do not do(I had the flu for months and just didn't bother with makeup) but after reading your best liked positive review,(She helped me a lot) I am going to start wearing Maybeline Dream Fresh BB Cream every day! I have 2 small red spots on R cheek from a Vitamin A (Retinal) Serum years ago and found I was allergic to it. I was pleased to find with regular use it takes away red spots.It is very important also to use good skin care day and night and not sleep in your makeup.I'm going to be 59yrs old next month and want to enjoy everything I do including putting on makeup, skin care routine. Many woman I've found who do not like a certain foundation or eye shadow are not using good skin care. This is a Basic NECESSITY! Not all woman but many that I know. If you don't take care of your skin you won't like any foundation. I put 10 Min down for my beauty routine and sometimes that's all it takes but if I want to try something new, it might take up to 30 Minutes. I think of putting makeup on as an art. It may sound funny but just think, your face is like a canvas and if you want to have fun with your makeup and trying different looks, colors,(You'd be surprised at all the colors of eye shadows, liners, lipsticks you would look good in if you are a person that goes neutral all the time. I go neutral once in awhile and try something new often but not tacky.) just what you feel, it is a sort of art. I also Ecfoliate my lips with a clean tooth brush. You'd be surprised at the dead skin cells on our lips. It takes it all off and they are smooth, rosy and make it much easier to put lipstick/gloss on them . They go on much smoother and no caked lips.A deep cleaning pore mask should be used once a week and a gentle facial scrub 2-3 X a week depending on your skin type should be used along with your daily and nightly skin care plan. I Loved this the 1st time I used it and got results I didn't expect. Also after reading the best liked Negative Review, I must disagree about it smelling bad and not having the 8 advantages to it. I feel it has them all and more! I'm very very happy with the results of this BB Cream and will keep buying it! I have used expensive foundations I did not like and I don't believe price should be an issue or a name brand for that matter. I have fair skin and bought the Light/medium. It's perfect and makes my skin feel like I have no makeup on at all.I put 2 Coats of this on my red spots and it covered them. Also worked well as a concealer under my eyes. It also made my eyes stand out more. In fact, my face feels better with it on than off.I love Maybeline makeup and buy it all the time. lipsticks, eye shadows, eye liners lip glosses etc. Now I have found the perfect BB Cream and since loving it so much, why would I want a different kind? I have a lot of makeup and cannot seem to get enough. LOL! I love trying different looks with it and all the colors .It's a wonderful price with so many great qualities! I went in to a Drug Store by my son's house and saw it so I tried it an now it's one of my "primary" makeups. Thank You Maybeline for all your makeups! You did a great job on this BB Cream. I bought this after reading all the rave reviews, so my expectations were high. I had never tried a BB before and I was curious to see what all the fuss was about. I have to say, I am a little disappointed. There is just not enough coverage here for me. I am starting to get some age spots and this did nothing to help. I'm going to save this and use it for summer because it so much lighter than my regular foundation and it's got SPF coverage. Overall, this is ok but if you need heavier coverage, this is not the best thing to use.

I have combination skin. I'm pretty oily on my "T" zone. I tried this stuff and it just made my face look like an oil slick. May be better for people with dry skin.

For travel I like to use budget brands. I don't feel as though I sacrifice my look or hurt my skin using this product in place of regular use items. I have been very satisfied with the light natural coverage. I appreciate the idea of a BB cream to save time and layers of product on my face.

I have combination skin...oily T zone and normal to drier cheek area. So I bought this because I heard good things. However, after using it a few times, I feel it's not the BB cream for me. First off, it comes on very smooth with light to medium coverage but by the end of the day, I'm one greasy mess, mind you I wasn't exercising or doing much. I won't chuck it though, but I won't apply it to my t-zone anymore either. This BB cream is better suited for someone with dry to normal skin.

If you take this product for what it is, leaving unrealistic expectations behind, I think you will be pleased.

First, for the people saying they are disappointed in the coverage - did you not read the packaging? It says SHEER TINT, which is an accurate description of the cream's coverage. Being a person that enjoys a natural yet pulled together make-up look, I quite enjoy the coloring and coverage provided; skin discoloration will fade upon application and you will have a luminous glow (not oily).

Second, I have noticed a difference in the texture of my skin since using this product. No breakouts, which I often ran into with other facial creams, and while I'm not sure if this is possible after only a couple of weeks, my pores are smaller and face has a more even coloring to it (red areas around my nose are gone!).

I've tried about four BB creams within this price category and Maybelline makes the best one by far compared to its competition.

1) There are more color choices to select from. I struggle to understand why its competitors only make Light and Medium shades.

2) The coverage is more matte than its competitors, which for someone with acne-prone, oily, or combination skin is good. The other ones might feel a bit too heavy or greasy.

3) After daily use, I noticed my skin improving, both in reduced acne breakouts and even skin tone.

4) It has a higher SPF than its competitors which is better for those with lighter skin or simply want a stronger SPF.

5) This could be due to its greater selection of colors but I find it blends better than its competitors, which make my skin look a shade darker despite the fact that it's labeled "Light."
