These colors are not as bright as it seems at first, but they turn out to be quite pretty. I love the subtle gold undertones, and yes, there's a tiny bit of a shimmer. They blend a bit better after wear but I prefer not to have the sharp contrast anyway. If you wanted something a bit more bold, go with the Bronze Glitz trio- same color scheme without the gray. I personally like to use this one as a fore-tone and the darker bronze glitz as back shadow (creases). The combination gives a lot of dimension.

Maybelline eyeshadows are either a hit or miss and this quad is a hit! The color pay off is amazing and the colors are so pretty.
