Excellent, and after reading the other reviews i thought it would be wise to check online for sharpening advice. A regular eye pencil sharpener works, very deceiving because it takes on a plastic feel/look. My mom and i are relieved because this is the best natural pencil we've ever tried. Long lasting and no need for a heavy hand. Didn't see where Maybelline listed any instructions on the sharpening aspect, unless we missed some fine print. I highly recommend this pencil.

I have been on the search for a good brow pencil that is similar to my favorite brow pencil, Anastasia Brow Wiz. The Brow Wiz is a retractable pencil with a built in spooley brush just like this one. The pencil is dense and the shade is very natural, it's almost like drawing on brow hairs. This brow pencil is exactly like that. My shade is deep brown, the shades are exact in both. Perfect eyebrows are the key to happiness in makeup and I have found the best inexpensive brow pencil ever!

I recently purchased this eyebrow pencil, but not from drugstore.com. Although the color and texture of the pencil are great, once the point has worn down, you cannot sharpen it, because the outer material is made of plastic, not wood. Maybelline needs to either make this the type of pencil that swivels up, or encase the lead in wood, so that it can be sharpened. Wish I still had the package and receipt, because I want my money back!
