I was a cosmetic rep for over 20 years and thought my great face days were over when my favorite foundation was discontinued and I ran out of all my samples. I thought it would take forever (if ever) to find something I liked as well as what I had used for years, but I luckily found Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind on my first try. What a find! It was so much better than what I thought was the only thing that could make me look my best. I have a very ruddy complexion and this makeup covers it with ease without looking heavy at all. I strongly recommend using Maybelline's loose powder with this makeup. The combination reflects light perfectly and gives a perfect base on which to apply your blush and eye makeup. I just turned 50, work in the fashion industry, and get compliments almost every day on my beautiful skin (not my makeup), and I know my skin's not that great--it's the makeup. I got some compliments before, but not like this. Plus, I truly believe this foundation actually improves the quality of your skin while wearing it, like a serum or moisturizer. I used to hate having to sometimes go to bed without taking off my makeup, but now I know it's not a terrible thing if I do--the makeup is doing some actual good rather than just laying on my skin and keeping me from having a night of repair. Instant Age Rewind is the perfect name for this product! My personal tip: be sure to use the lightest possible shade you can get away with. I truly believe darker skin can make you look older. I use the lightest shade and never look pale or pasty. There's no way you can go wrong with giving this product a try, especially at the price. I can't imagine a department store brand working better than this one does!
