I use this product daily. I have very oily skin, this powder does control the oil at least for 6 hours. I am happy with it that I reorder 2 after using it for 2 weeks. Great product!

After reading the other reviews, I thought maybe I hadn't remembered this product as well as I thought I had when I used it years ago. So, I decided to give it another chance. Blech. This magnified my pores. It looked terrible and just sits on the surface of my skin. Now I remember why I stopped using this stuff. It's fine to use once my skin gets shiny and I've blotted it, but it's not long lasting even then. I will not purchase again.

I was using Cover Girl Clean Oil Control, but was finding it was inadequate in terms of coverage and oil control. I only wear powder, no foundation, and was frequently having to completely reapply the CG, and finding that even when freshly applied, it was not as matte as I'd like it to be. I decided to try this and found it to be, in general, a better powder. It definitely covers better than the CG, I had to reapply a lot less often (and when I do reapply, I only lightly pat some areas, not completely cover my whole face again). It isn't cakey or white and matches my skin. I find it to be the perfect balance of translucent and color/covering and has good staying power. It does feel slightly heavier than my previous powder, but it does not break me out, so that is ok (I have extremely acne prone skin). My skin is oily and I use an exfoliating cream for acne, and it always has a little glow to it, and so this makeup doesn't make it too matte or flat. The puff that comes with it is nice...it is a very soft/fine texture, and glides through the powder that is soft/fine very easily, and does a good job at evenly distributing the powder over my skin. I don't have to use as much of this powder as my previous powder, and so I think this compact will last longer. Overall, I think this powder gives my skin a very nice smooth look, making my pores less noticeable.

Well, I do not have oily skin normally but, Living in this South Florida Heat and Humidity in the summer has been making my face get oily! I used regular dept. store powder just after my foundation but, It wasn't really working on getting rid of the oil. I read about this product and I went and got it and I have to say I love it! For [$] you can't go wrong. I apply it right after my Foundation in the morning and I check around 3 pm and I wasn't near as oily as I used to. I re- applied a bit on my T-zone and it was gone! Its Great and Light so, not much coverage but, it blends well with your make up and doesn't get "cakey"!

I have oily skin and have tried all kinds of expensive oil control powders. I continue to come back to this one. It is gentle on my skin and does a good job at controling the oil on my face. It doesn't feel heavy and doesn't cause any breakouts.

In the past 2 wks I have tried every powder you can buy in the drugstore & also ventured out to a dept store & purchased a pwdr which I did not like. I have used the same powder for 10+ yrs & it has now been discontinued! :-( On my last trip to the store I saw Maybelline Prsd Powder & grabbed it. When I tried this I was amazed at how much it reminded me of my old powder. I was so thrilled to have finally found a pwdr I liked! After I apply Olay Complete Moisturizer 4 combo/oily skn I apply foundation (Revlon Colorstay-4 oily skn)and then this pwdr. This powder does not clump on my foundation & gives a beautiful finish....very soft & smooth. I bought the lightest shade since i'm fair skinned, but I thk I will buy the nxt shade drkr to see how drk it really looks on me....since this powder is translucent! I highly recommend this if you have oily, acne-prone skin (like mine). The best thing is after applying I don't look like an Oompa-Loompa hrs later like half the powders I tried! What a relief! I hope they nevr discontinue this b/c I have no other powders left to try! PLEASE try this...its GREAT! TWO THUMBS UP MAYBELLINE!!!!!!!

I am so pleased with this powder. I have a pretty physical job and kept getting super shiny within an hour. It was gross! But after buying and using this powder, I can usually make it through the workday without serious shine. (only a little shine, after several hours, and easily blotted away with tissue) Now I'm not so self-conscious anymore. I am very very satisfied, and would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

This is the best powder I have found for my sensitive skin. I have no reaction at all. The ivory shade is a perfect match for my skin tone, and it keeps my skin looking fresh for 4 or 5 hours before I need to reapply.
