I am a big fan of this powder. I use this powder to set my foundation & it looks great & I don't have to worry about it changing color as the day goes on. I usually take the puff & press/pat powder all over face & then lightly blend in. This gives me the coverage I need. For less coverage I would say to maybe use a brush or u could use the puff & then take a brush without powder to blend it. I think this pwdr helps with keeping me more shine-free throughout the day better than any other powders I've used. I do touch up during the day....but I believe I will always need to do this b/c my skin is that oily. One thing I love is unlike some powders that tend to look cakey or fake after touch-ups...this powder never does that to me! I really love this powder & think it's the best out there drugstore-wise. My only con would be the puff it comes with. I like using it, but if I try washing it after use it falls apart. To fix this issue I buy CG puffs & they work great & are washable! Definitely go out and try this if you have oily, acne prone skin like me. I have never broken out from this either! Defintiely recommended 100%

Bleh. After reading all the reviews I went out and bought this because my face is usually pretty shiny, especially in the summer. I was VERY disappoint. I gave it two stars because it does what it says it does--i'm shine-free. Unfortunately, it was completely obvious I was wearing powder. Think about what your dark car looks like in the spring with all that pollen everywhere--that was how it looked on my face. I tried to "blend" it in a bit and it just came right off--it also comes off if i touch my face at all. My face is pretty dry between my eyebrows and when I put this on it stuck funny there too.
All in all, it did not apply well, stay on well or look good for me. I would not recommend it at all.

I have several of these compacts scattered around and use them to control shine because of oily skin. My only problem is that the product does not last long. I buy two or three compacs at a time to keep from running out. I guess that is what they want, but I will be trying other things. lol.

I use this powder every day and touch up during the day if I have to. The only problem I have with it is there is just not enough powder in the compact case. It starts going away in the middle and then spreads out to the edges and you can never seem to get that last little bit....

This matches my skin tone perfectly. I've tried lots of different products and this is the one I prefer. It actually lasts a while. I like blotting papers but with my combination skin, I find my t zones need to be blotted more often than I care for. When I'm at work and in meetings, I can't always blot. The powder reduces my shine and is convenient for me. Sometimes I have to reapply after 1/2 hour to an hour and sometimes not for a couple of hours or more. It all depends on my skin and how much oil it produces. I notice it's more oily in the morning and for a while especially after eating any greasy food.

I liked it but I got the wrong shade it was a little lighter then my actual skin tone. But it does work. It doesn't leave any shin. So I might buy it again.

I recently tried this powder out for the first time and really actually liked it better than I thought I would considering this is cheaply priced. I thought that it did a good job with my oily skin throughout the day. I think the key thing with this powder is to not go overboard when applying. You only need to apply lightly or you may look too cakey, which can be the case with most drugstore powders. Overall I really think I will stick with this since it works and it's cheap. I do recommend to others if your skin is shiny and you need somewhat of a matte look.

I love Maybelline's Shine Free Pressed Powder!! This stuff is my best secret at keeping my oily skin shine free without a huge price tag and without ugly acne breakouts. I have fair skin and tried Ivory first (It was a little too light 4 me)...so I went with Natural Beige (A little too pinkish 4 me) & then I tried Soft Cameo which was absolutely PERFECT 4 me!! I use this powder over my Revlon CS foundation and my skin looks wonderful! I did replace the puff it came with(as others mentioned)...with a different puff that I bought at [...]. *They have a set of 3 little pink puffs that are really soft, washable, and cheap that work great with the powder. Anyway, I LOVE THIS POWDER! So ladies with combo/oily skin or even acne-prone skin....this should definitely be on your list to try out.

This powder doesn't work for my oily/combination skin, it doesn't absorb the oil well, so I ended up having to touch up every hour which is not very convenient. And it's not even summer yet. Also it gets flaky when I first put it on and doesn't cover my pores well. But what really bothers me is that it doesn't have any plastic sheet or anything to cover the product from the puff. Will not buy this again.

It doesnt seem long lasting for me since I have super oily skin. After about 2-3 hours, I have to use blotting tissues or reapply the powder to keep the shine away. However, I use it anyway to prolong the shine but I dont think I'll buy it again.
