I could tell from the first application that it wasn't going to work. And the advertising and commercials are a JOKE. The brush is thin and unsubstantial and barely gives any coverage at all. Save your money or throw it in the street before buying this garbage. GARBAGE! I wish there was a way to give this NO STARS in the review. Performs much better than many department store brands that are considerably more expensive. In my opinion, the TV ads are grossly exaggerated. I think it is better than any other mascara, including high end. It adds volume and length, holds a curl, and doesn't clump, flake or smudge. It has a very wet consistency and applies very evenly. Most mascaras these days don't do that, unless you wear them for an extended period of time (overnight). This stuff is terrible. I love Great Lash mascara and have used other Maybelline mascaras with success in the past, so thought this one might be the same. After weeks of using this occasionally, I noticed I developed a twitch in my lower eyelid under one eye. I could not understand what could be causing it. I was sleeping enough hours, gently removing my eyemakeup, not under unusual stress. Then, I read that severe irritation of the eyelids could result in eye twitching. I threw out this mascara and never experienced the twitching again. To add insult to injury, it smears like crazy. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
