Fun, but recalled in Canada

By Mom2Three

from California

Comments about Melissa and Doug Geometric Stacker Ages 2 and up, 1 ea:

We purchased this a year ago and my kids (ages 2, 4, and 6) have enjoyed it. It is a toy I leave out for a few days, then put up for awhile. When I bring it back out, they are all excited to see it and it gets a lot of use.

I don't think I'd buy it again, though, because after we had it already, I found out it was recalled in Canada. The levels of barium in the paint were too high.

Comments about Melissa and Doug Geometric Stacker Ages 2 and up, 1 ea:

My daughter really likes to stack blocks, so I thought she would like this set to play with at Grandma's since it has a lot of blocks in interesting shapes. Unfortunately, when we got it, we noticed that a lot of the paint had come off and stained the wooden stand. Not too big of a deal for older children who wash their hands after playing with it; but not good for younger toddler age children who may still like to test things out in their mouths occasionally. I did wipe the whole toy down and most of the residue came off, however I am still concerned that there was paint residue in the first place. This is also very dangerous to leave on the floor if you have children running around. It could really hurt them if they fell on top of it; table top use only!
