It seems to have gritty, almost beach-sand feel to it as you apply it, but it dissipates quickly. A bit thin in texture, but easy to apply and dries quickly. No after smell, but couldn't really say it's highly effective, just average. Won't buy it again - found something better from the corner health food store.

I started using this product only a few days ago, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. However, the consistency of the lotion is a little off-putting. It's like someone ground up a tablet and tried to mix it with lotion. Very strange. Maybe I can get past the texture if it helps with hot flashes.
