Comments about Mentos Gum Pure Fresh Sugarfree Chewing Gum, Cool Lemonade, 10 ea:
To some this may be a great chewing gum: - If you really like lemon flavoring, like me, it has a great initial lemon flavor. - If you care about your teeth and/or kids teeth. The National Institutes of Health says xylitol (all Mentos Pure Fresh gums have xylitol sugar as the 1st ingredient) helps decrease the incidence of cavities in teeth in people in general & helps decrease otitis media (middle ear infection) in some people. To some this may not be a great chewing gum: - If you chew it longer than 5 minutes, then you might get a sore jaw (as with any gum) if you have jaw problems like I experience with any gum. - If you are sensitive to alcohol-containing sugars like sorbitol, maltitol, etc..., then you might have to go to the bathroom alot if you chew too much of this gum during the day. - Some might think this lemon flavored gum tastes like dish soap or laundry detergent as 3 of my friends thought it did. But I don't. Everyone's taste buds are different. Other thoughts: A general recommendation by dentists is to chew xylitol gum or mints (but only if xylitol is the 1st or 2nd ingredient since there will be enough xylitol to fight cavities) for no more than 3 times a day (after each meal) for no more than 5 minutes. This is only really needed if you have had a lot of cavities in the past or now. I can't find the Lemon-flavored Mentos Pure Fresh gum any where in the stores (other flavors I can) so I ordered it here. [...]
