This automatic blood pressure monitor is very easy to use out of the box. It automatically inflates with the push of the start button and has a reading of BP and heart rate within seconds. Also, you can't beat the price on this unit. Most other automatic BP units were at least twice the cost of this one.

It is highly accurate as I have had my daughter to also manually take my blood pressure to check the accuracy. It comes with a medium size cuff so if you have a larger arm the company has a telephone number included on the insert so you can order a larger size arm cuff if needed.

    too high

When i compared the blood pressure accuracy to my other monitor, this one was consistently higher every time. I concluded that this new one was the inaccurate one.

Comments about Microlife Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor, Model BP3AQ1, 1 ea:

Inexpensive, no bells or whistles, just put the cuff on, press the button, and wait for the BP reading. Seems reliable, although I haven't calibrated it against another instrument or reading.
One concern is that if you don't place the cuff carefully--such as too loose before pushing the button, or wrapped on an angle--the reading may come out lower than if placed more correctly. That's not a big drawback, just a caveat.

I was looking for the most inexpensive, fully automatic BP cuff I could find. This fit the bill and is super easy to use. It's quick to take a reading and seems accurate (although I wouldn't really know, as I have nothing to compare it to.) I was able to start taking my BP regularly without any trouble.

Comments about Microlife Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor, Model BP3AQ1, 1 ea:

I bought this as a gift for my mom so she can monitor her high BP at work, after exercising, etc. I might just pick up another one so she can keep one at work and one at home--I'm very impressed with this product especially for the price. The included instructions are clear and there's also a toll-free helpline, since most buyers aren't medical professionals and may need help. The only thing I had a question about was the location of the artery (there's an arrow on the band that you line up with your artery). I asked a friend who's a nurse to point it out to me, and since then it's easy as pie. You strap on the band, press the one big button, sit back, and wait. No bells and whistles, just tell me my BP. It fits around my skinny arm and adjusts for average sized people, too.

Easy to use and cost less for a self inflating monitor. It does fit on the upper arm not the wrist so yes, I'd say it's a little bulky but still easy to use. I'd recommend it to a friend.

With three elderly people in the household, having a blood pressure monitor that is accurate and easy to use by everyone gives us peace of mind and keeps us in control of our own healthcare. I would recommend this to anyone who has any issues with blood pressure.
