Because I have to take medications that cause constipation, I need something to counter act that. I've tried everything! Seriously. I kept reading about MiraLax and decided to give it a shot. Why not. I was surprised that it worked in less then 12 hours for me. I used it for 5 days in a row at first and now I use it every other day, it was like clockwork. No nasty side effects like cramps, backache, headache, heartburn, nasty taste, hard to use. It was amazing. I mixed it in my hot cocoa the first time and still do that. You really can't taste it at all. I've mixed it in water, iced-tea, juice, hot tea, whatever. I recommend waiting to add ice to drinks after you mix it in. It will dissolve faster and not settle at the bottom of the glass. The only side effect I have is gas but I have IC so I'm used to it. This is a life saver. I've gone weeks without any relief so I'm a HUGE fan of MiraLax. I just ordered my next bottle today. VS Most Liked Negative Review Did not work for me Sadly this did not work for me. The great thing about it though is that its completely tasteless and odorless. I put it in my juice, smoothies, even oatmeal. I wish it had worked for me but for anyone who's hesitant, give it a try. IT GAVE ME TERRIBLE GAS AND BLOATING, IT DOES WORK, BUT BEING BLOATED ALL THE TIME IS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. IN THE LONG RUN I FEEL THAT THIS PRODUCT WOULD HAVE HARMED ME. I AM SO THRILLED FOR THOSE WHO CAN TAKE THIS, BUT FOR ME IT GOT ME SICK, I AM ON ALOT OF MEDICATIONS AND I FEEL ONE OF THEM IT DID NOT AGREE WITH. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME TO TRY THIS, WELL I KNOW THAT I CANNOT TAKE IT AT ALL, WISH IT WORKED WITH NO SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL. I have used it for at least 10 years now, whenever I am not regular, which is only occasionally and whenever I travel (!). It works prefectly. I take it with water: no taste, no problem, and results usually in less than 24 hours. Pros

I was just about to go to the hospital when it let up. Anyone sensitive to chemicals better be careful with this stuff! Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about MiraLAX Laxative, Powder, 8.3 oz: I can't poop! I won't deny! I've tried everything like Metamucil and Colace, and MiraLAX is the only stuff that has worked so far. The problem is, it takes a good 3-5 days to produce results, but once it does, you'll feel so much better. I now take it every other day and I'm fine now. But if I miss a dose, I can tell a difference. Mixes in any drink without taste. Wish it came in a pill form though... Pros

One of the things that helped me go to the bathroom was Fiber One original cereal, but then I would only go every 3 days. Yesterday was my 7th day taking Miralax (it says to not take more than 7 consecutive days). I have had a solid bowel movement nearly everyday, and up to 2-3 times a day. I can't believe how well this product works. Absolutely no taste. Generally odorless, if any odor, it reminds me of Elmer's glue. But that's only if you stick your nose in the bottle. My stomach is actually a lot flatter too. I can't believe after seeing how much waste I eliminate daily, that I wouldn't have bowel movements for 10 days at a time. This product has done wonders for me. I don't feel so bloated/fatigued anymore because I feel cleaner and feel like my body is working more efficiently. I'm not going to take MiraLAX this week but if I do not go to the bathroom, I will take it next week again. As a side note, I also exercise about 3 times a week. That may or may not have had to do with how often and well I went to the bathroom. It has not caused any notable negative side effects such as cramping or bleeding or diahrea. Pros
