Goes on sticky and stays sticky. Very uncomfortable under arms. Also tends to break off in clumps when applied, losing a lot of product.

This "smart solid" replaces Mitchum's old "hydro solid" and is great! It's a like a very dense gel, is not sticky, dries quickly, and doesn't leave any marks on clothing. This product is unscented and I do not smell any body odor using this product, it's not that it's just covered up by fragrance. There are scented versions if you prefer.
NOTE: as at least one other review mentions, this product can come off in chunks when it gets older. I think this is because it dries out. When it starts to do this I sprinkle a little water on it before putting the cap on so it soaks in before the next use. This seems to extend its life so I can use the whole container. Strange, but worth it for me.

My teenage son swears by this product. He has always had sensitive skin and this does not irritate him. He likes the lack of scent. If he wants scent, he does not want it from his deodorant. Keeps him dry and odor free all day. I never have trouble with perspiration stains in his shirts because he uses this product.

I have been a user of Mitchums solid for 20+ years and this new Smart Solid is HORRILE. It is sticky, does not go on well, chunks off when you try to use it....and the WORST is that is does not work. What was Mitchums thinking? I am purchasing as much of the older variety as I can. I called the company too, which I really have not done for any other product before, and they said they have gotten a LOT of negative comments. This one is a looser!

I have used the original Mitchum's Solid, Unscented deodorant for many years now until it became difficult to find locally. So, I purchased the new Smart Solid by Mitchum's. I have NEVER had body odor using the original Mitchum's but with the new Smart Solid, I perspire and have terrible body odor. I don't know who tested this product but it is NOT what it's cracked up to be. It's very stickly going on - I hate that feeling. The original Mitchum's is DRY going on and if you must skip a day, you don't have to worry about odor. I just hate this new product and have had to resort to finding the original online.

Great product. Other ones were staining my clothes. This one doesn't at all. Best part is that it doesn't have a scent.

I've had difficulty finding an unscented antiperspirant/deodorant which provided good odor control. This product is excellent and provides the best odor control of any product I have ever used.

I used to love Arrid XX Extra Extra Dry solid because it was one of the few Unscented anti-perspirants I could find. I can't stand having a heavy perfume inches away from my nose all day long, and Arrid used to work well on my body chemistry. Then recently Church and Dwight changed up the ingredients (New! Improved!), and it doesn't work for me at all anymore. So I found this Mitchum Unscented in the grocery store and decided to try it. It works terrific (on my body, anyway), and it has no lasting odor -- just a faint alcohol-like smell when it's in the package. The lack of white residue is just an added bonus... even if it had white residue, I would buy it. Thanks, Revlon!

My boyfriend was using Arm & Hammer, but hated the white cakey residue that it left, matting up his armpit hair. He switched to this and loves it. No white clumps in the hair, no residue on clothes. He likes it so much I'm going to try the Mitchum smart solid for Women since I've been having a hard time finding antiperspirants that don't leave a white residue on my black clothing, even those that say they will not (i.e. Dove, Almay).
