It's hard to rate this product on its own because I've never used it alone. I've always used the Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner with it. I would recommend always using the Deep Conditioner when using this product because the shampoo cleans so thouroughly that you will need to condition it afterwards.
The great thing about this product is that it cleans very thoroughly and gets all the product build up and oil build up out of your hair so it can breath, and smells great in the process!
I bought the shampoo, deep conditioner, and leave-in conditioner. I have frizzy hair and was hoping to find something that really works. I don't know if I'm using too much or not enough, it leaves my hair easy to comb and still frizzy. sigh.
I really like this shampoo I have been looking for the right shampoo for my hair type for a while now and I think I found it, it leaves my hair nice and soft no frizz or dryness my curls really do look healthy I have had many comments from people telling me OMG your hair looks so nice what did u do to it so I'm truly a satisfied customer
I am 100% Mexican not mixed at all and I love this product! My hair is straight, heavy, thick and dry. I also have an oily scalp. Many products that work for my hair will cause my scalp to flake or itch. I do not use any "heat" on my hair or color it (I do not blow dry, flat iron it or curl it) I currently live in Kabul, Afghanistan. The water is full of chlorine ~ it seems to dry out my skin and hair. I read about this in a magazine (not sure which one) and decided to try it out. I ordered three sample packs (THANK YOU MixedChicks dot com for [...] it to my APO address) I thought I would use 2 and give one to a friend. The samples are generous! The shampoo seemed very thick in the shower. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to rinse it all out. It seemed to "heavy" and bit "greasy". I let it dry overnight. I woke up to the softest hair. It was so smooth and full of bounce! I did not know how dry my hair was until I used this shampoo (along with the use of their conditioner). Please don't hesitate to try this product - you will be amazed how great this product is!
