Well I came across multiple sites where women discussed using this Monistat Chafing Gel as a makeup primer. At the time, I had just invested in Smashbox Light Primer to help give my acne-prone skin a smoother look under makeup. I immediately went [...] picked some up to try. I paid less than $6.00 and thought if this really works then I am taking the other primer back. Well the conclusion is I actually like it better....and I think it makes my scars look smoother & less noticable. I have already told friends to try this because I think it is great! I have no problem using this on my face and actually love the fact that I now save $30 with using this instead of the other! I'm so excited that others decided to share the idea of using this as a primer....it's the best secret out there! Seriously ladies try this out!

This product works great for its intended use, which is obviously to prevent chafing. In addition, it's the best (and least expensive, by far) makeup primer I've ever used. I use a pea-sized amount on my face after I apply moisturizer. I barely have to let it set before I apply makeup, which is another advantage over "real" makeup primers that often have to set for a few minutes. It smooths out my skin, meaning I can wear less makeup and apply it with less effort.

LOVE this product! I use it to prevent chaffing at my bra line and it works beautifully. It goes on like a gel and within minutes feels as though I have applied powder. Powder with STAYING POWER. Honestly, I love everything about this product. (Haven't tried it, yet, as a make-up primer.)

I had originally bought this to prevent chaffing which is does so well. I swear by it in the summer. It also prevents my bra from rubbing. Then I read it is a great Primer under face makeup. It is excellent for this and I use it every day!!! I used to use a rediculously expensive primer but not anymore.

This stuff is great for those warm areas that we need to keep dry. It's like baby powder without all the mess, and it lasts longer than baby powder. It has no smell and feels incredibly smooth.

I heard from my friend that this product is great as a makeup primer. So, I decided to checkout reviews on YouTube, which were all great. I tried it for a week and noticed that it did work well. However, I noticed that my pores got larger as well :( My friend said that she usually washes it off after 5 hours. Needless to say, I'm going to either return it or just give it to my friend.
