The basil scent is refreshing yet mild--one of my favorites. I like large bars and only buy 8oz or larger, this makes the Mrs. Meyer's soaps perfect IMHO.

I bought this scent by accident but wont count that against it b/c it's my mistake. However I wanted the verbena smell (which I love) and this one was not a great smell for me.

What I liked most is what others seem to dislike: I loved it's large size because it not only lasted long time making for great value but also because it looked nice and rustic. Mrs Meyers has awesome natural products.

I love the lather, and later in the day I catch a whiff of this scent, I bought two of these and will go back for more, they are a tad bulky but worth it to me.

Finally a soap that my husband and myself both like in the shower. The fresh basil scent is clean and uncloying, making you feel fresh.

I have a theory that Mrs. Meyers stuff doesn't work much better than other similar products, but we think it's extra-good because it smells so fabulous. Whatever, we like this one.

This soap bar is a big clunker and a little hard to handle till it melts down thru use. It's not pretty having no color or ergo-shape, but dang, it smells super.

I love the smell, and its effectiveness, but i do wish they made a smaller size. The big bar last forever, but it is a little cumbersome when you fist take it out of the package as it is quite a slippery handful! Still, well worth this minor inconvenience!

Great fresh smell, great for both me and my boyfriend. THe bar itself is huge, lathers great, and LASTS. THis makes it a great value; it costs a bit more than the standard soap, but lasts, and smells and works great. Repeat buyer here - I can't wait to try the other scents!
