The smell is fantastic (its verbina - so its more herbal lemon - NOT lemon). And its not super foamy so it rinses clean. I LOVE the smells of the products - lavender and many others are wonderful too. All of the products are natual and safe for the environment (important to me) but they also clean well and are easy to use! No worries here for kids, pets, ground water etc. I've been using Mrs Meyers products for about 6 or 7 years now. Ive tried others - but always come back to these. My husband won't go near me or the kitchen when use it. It stays on my hands and it makes me feel literally sick as I continue to smell it on myself and my sponge. I will use it up on my dirty pots and pans, and never buy it again. As far as I can tell it works no better than my nice smelling blue dawn for much less cost. Don't buy! I was using a "normal" detergent, so I was concerned that an environmentally-friendly detergent would not work as well. However, this product works better than my old detergent. It is nice and thick, but rinses clean. The dishes do not have any lingering soapy taste or smell. While I'm washing the dishes, I enjoy the lemon verbena scent, which is more like smelling a freshly cut lemon versus perfume/candy scented. The bottle is a little small compared to other brands, but is also convenient to use. I had this shipped to a DPO, and it came very well wrapped in plastic so it didn't leak in the box. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend, and I'm anxious to try some of the other scents. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Even things that heavyduty cleansers won't clean. Do wish Mrs. Meyers would make the odors less strong but I'll continue using this product because it works so well on many things. It does cost a little more, but I love that its all natural, it definitely cleans my dishes and it makes my kitchen smell great.I watch for sales on drugstore.com as well as [...], so whenever its on sale, I stock up.I'm not a huge fan of the Lavender scent, but I really love the Lemon Verbena and the Basil best.
