I bought this on a "flyer"; I needed something to support my left ankle while hiking or doing gardener and other house chores. This is made from recycled material, so I thought it was worth a try, as I'm a "Green". Aside from having a little trouble putting it on the first time, this has worked better than I expected it to. It works well over socks, with tennis shoes, hiking boots or flip-flops. I've worn it while driving and it does not hinder my use of the clutch. I am likely going to buy another one for my right ankle, "just because".
