I bought this because 38yrs ago I had a similar one for my kids, and it was fantastic. My kids ate almost everything we ate, including meat. It ground up everything easily. I never bought babyfood. I read reviews that said the Munchkin worked well for the most part. Now that I have a 1yr. old grandson, I wanted one for him. I couldn't get it to work at all. My husband and I tried every which way but loose, with no luck. It didn't even work on pickles (let alone meat)! Even if we could've gotten it to work, nothing should require that much hassle. Maybe I got a lemon. I returned it.

We used one of these with our three childern and wanted one for the grandbaby. So handy to use and saves money. Grind your oun carrots,beans or meat.Saves buying baby food. My father used our old one when he had gum sugery and could not chew. What a handy tool. We looked and looked for this one and Drugstore.com had it cheap and shipped for free. Thanks

Worked okay on vegetables but turned chicken blue...would definitely NOT recommend this item.
