I use this product once every ten days, with a plastic applicator/scraper that came with another exfoliating product. I save the used product in a plastic storage container and re-use it twice before throwing it away-- works great. It's important to leave it on no longer than ten minutes. I use an aloe-based lotion after using the product and my legs look and feel great. I just LOVE this product.

I used Nair for the first time last week before a trip to the beach. I'm still not sure if it's better and/or easier than shaving - there are lots of pros and cons to each. So I will just share my experience and let you be the judge.

I used the cream on my legs (fine, blond hair) and my underarms and bikini area (darker, coarser hair). I never have problems with sensitive skin, so I decided to leave it on for the full ten minutes. It felt a little warm while I was waiting. The scent was pretty bad (it smells like one of those old-school perms), but tolerable. After ten minutes, I hopped in the shower and expected to rinse the hair away. It wasn't quite that easy. I had to use a washcloth - and in coarser areas I had to use a mesh sponge - to scrub the hair away. But it did come off, with the exception of one little quarter-sized patch on my leg that I didn't notice until later (not sure what happened there). I had one place of redness and irritation on my right underarm - I think it was a combination of the chemicals in the Nair and too-hard scrubbing on my part. It went away in about 24 hours.

The smell was very faintly noticeable for the rest of the day, and after another shower that night I couldn't smell it at all anymore. At the beach, I noticed that my skin was definitely smoother on day 2 than it would have been if I'd shaved. It was the third day before I could feel any hair coming back, the fourth day before I could see any hair, and the fifth or sixth day before I really needed to repeat. This alone is the main reason I'm considering switching for good. I wonder if repeated use will make hair come back slower...

I think waxing is the best option, of course, but it's inconvenient to do it yourself and can be expensive if you're doing your legs, bikini, and underarms. I think Nair is an alternative that I'll continue to use in the future. I should note that I used the gentle gel-cream formula and it did not work at all, so this review just applies to this particular product. Good luck!

No matter where I used this products (legs, bikini area) it burned. No matter if I had it on for 3 minutes or not it left me w/ burned skin. I've used other brands of hair removal cream & this never happened.

Comments about Nair Hair Remover Lotion For Body & Legs, Aloe & Lanolin, 9 oz:

I used the hair remover lotion on my inner thighs and bikini area. The hair was thick in the bikini area. I left the product on for 3 minutes. I do have sensitive skin. The hair came off quickly but the next day I was left with razor burns type bumps in the entire area. The same thing hapens when I use a razor in thse areas, I thought this lotion might prevent the bumps but it didn't.

Comments about Nair Hair Remover Lotion For Body & Legs, Aloe & Lanolin, 9 oz:

I only used this after waxing but found waxing to much work to keep up with. I now use my epilator once a week and this 24 hours after. I follow with a shave to get baby butt smooth and heavy lotions. I stay smooth all the time and my hair is reducing nicely. I imagine I'll be pushing the days further apart soon.

This product is a perfect fillin for the times you can't make it to the salon for body sugaring or wax. It's quick and easy, just apply about 4 minutes before you shower and you'll have great results.

I wouldn't waste your money on this product. I'm not actually sure if it works well removing hair, because the stench was so strong I couldn't leave it on for more than 2 minutes. I first tested it on my underarms but the scent almost made me throw-up. I STILL smell it everywhere I go. I would not recommend this!!!

This is the WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED. If you have super sensitive skin like me, DO NOT GET NAIR!!! I only put it on for 3 minutes on my legs and underarms, it started to burn like holy HELL so I rinsed and wiped it off, and guess what? My legs and underarms started bleeding, and I have unsightly welts because of this dumb depilatory too. FANTASTIC! I wish I could give it 0 stars. It deserves NOTHING
