I love this product as it works on my heaviest and most active days just as well as my light days. I love that I am using a product that is better for the environment but amazingly better for my body. Periods have lightened some since using as I am sure it is partially caused form using organic cotton as opposed to the bleach and asbestos ridden ones I used for years like most others. Know better now do better. Best thing I have found!! I also like that this product has an applicator - many of the natural or organic tampons don't. That said, I wish the applicator had a better grip on it. Unless you keep it completely dry, it is hard to keep a hold on it, making it difficult to remove. I previously used Tampax, which in the last couple or three years actually improved their grip (which was already good). I wish NatraCare would use the same machines to manufacture their applicators!!! REVIEWS Reviewed by 75 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: I switched to organic tampons a couple of months ago after reading about the bleaching process of regular tampons and the toxins that are absorbed by your body. I found this brand to have the best reviews and have not been disappointed. I'm so glad I switched and have talked to my friends about switching too. I'm very frugal and the extra expense is worth the peace of mind! Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: The only issue I have with this product and the Super product is the applicator. It really is a 2 hand job after it gets wet and it is slippery. Difficult to "plunge" product as it should. Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: I'm new to the organic feminine hygiene market but I've heard some scary stuff about conventional products in this category so I thought I'd give it a try. I have to be honest, I've never been very picky about tampons, if they're comfortable & provide protection I'm happy. The first ones I tried we're seventh gen, though they provided coverage fine they were a little difficult to use. These were just fine, no difficulty w applicator, didn't leak, and were comfortable to use. Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: After reading some of the comments, I was worried about the comfort and protection of these tampons, but I'm glad I took a chance and tried them myself. I think they're excellent! I had no trouble with the applicator and I found the protection to be just as good as mainstream tampons. I'm grateful that this alternative is available -- all organic cotton and no chlorine bleach process is recommended in the news stories I've read by the doctor who has extensively studied TSS, Dr. Philip Tierno. Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: I hate how all the paper applicator tampons nowadays have poor mechanisms to expand and push in the applicator. It gets stuck so it's hard to push in. And the shape at the top has pointy bits of cardboard trying to create a curved shape, but all it does is look like something with teeth. I like the old fashioned, simple cardboard tubes- they were always reliable to use and no teeth! But these are no worse than any other cardboard applicator tampon out there, and they're natural. Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: These are the best 100% organic cotton tampons I've used. I love that they are so environmentally friendly, down to the paper applicators & wrappers. I admit that the applicator can get a bit stuck, but I can deal with it for all the pros. I've tried the seventh generation ones, but I still prefer natracare (& I like that their pads don't come in individual plastic wrappers). Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: These are a great natural alternative to the more popular non-organic brands. I find that they absorb just as much as any other brand and are better for my health and the planet. Will continue to use. Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: These are truly the BEST tampons I have used. Although I realize that some reviewers state that the tampons are difficult to release from the applicator, there is an easy solution to this. Before insertion, simply move the plunger back and forth a bit to free the tampon from the tip of the applicator where it seems to get caught up. Push the slightly extended (slightly is an important word) tip back into the cardboard applicator, and you're all set for easy insertion. Push the tip too far out of its applicator and you will start to bend the cardboard tip flanges backwards and that may make insertion difficult. To gently loosen the tip is very easy, simple, and quick, so please don't hesitate to purchase these terrific tampons as a result. These tampons seem to hold more than any other tampon I've ever tried, including the industry standard Tampax. The organic composition just makes this choice all that much better. Pros

Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: I will never go back to the major brands on this one. After reading how conventional tampons leave behind fibers, and experiencing the irritation of those left behind fibers.... there is NO contest! I will spend the extra to use a natural and safe material in such an intimate area. With the first use I noticed a difference and will NEVER switch back again! Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Natracare Organic All-Cotton Tampons with Applicator, Regular, 16 ea, 1 ml: I prefer cardboard applicators but found this one difficult to use. The tampon was difficult to place correctly and the string would frequently get stuck up inside and may be too short. I think the shape was not right for me, as I could feel it at times. I much prefer Seventh Generation to Natracare. ![]() |
