I suffer from insomnia and while I ordered these to help lose a few pounds they really are helping me sleep through the night as well. I have also noticed that I am not craving carbs and junk food either. I ordered two more bottles today because I've been passing the junk foods by at every opportunity since using these for the past week!

This product works great as a sleep aid. It also improves mood - I have been able to discontinue Zoloft after taking it for a few years. I like the time release formula, as the mood improvement seems to last through the next day. You do need to take it for a month or two to get the mood improvement, in my experience. As a sleep aid, it doesn't knock you out like taking Benadryl or something, but after you fall asleep you will sleep more soundly and awaken more refreshed.

My moods have been all over the place lately and work has been stressful. I wanted to try something to see if it would help. I took this today for the first time and I felt pretty good. Calmer definately. My mind is normally all over the place and today I felt like it was quiet. I didn't feel I got as upset or angry about things as usual. This was only my first time and I only took one today but after reading many of these reviews I may do two a day. But so far I'm happy with it.

I have been taking 5-HTP for a while, since it was recommended by a dietician. I was having a hard time losing weight, and did some testing, to find out that I had increased Cortisol levels - which leads to depression-type symptoms, fatigue, and mood change. As well as other supplements and dietary change, I was recommended to start the 5-HTP to combat carb/sugar cravings, control appetite, and help improve my mood. I have had such good appetite control using this product, and my cravings have decresed with regular use. I've been losing weight, and am almost to my goal. I've never felt better, and highly recommend the use of this supplement!

I've been taking this since December 15, 2011 and it works for me every single day. I feel so much calmer, and sleep so much better. My family has noticed an immediate change in me since I started taking this. I'm back to myself again. I am so amazed that it works perfectly. I'm so thankful I researched and found this. I love feeling like myself again, instead of feeling in the dumps every second of the day and flying off the handle. I'm so much more balanced out now and I can sleep during the night too and wake up refreshed. Before taking this, I didn't even feel like going to the store anymore. If I could stay in, I would. At work I'd be so sad all day and didn't know what was going on. Now I have found myself again and can smile, be silly and have fun!!! The every day stresses are so much more managable. I had been feeling extremely anxious and sad/depressed for a very long time. Lately my moods and outburts were just getting out of hand and my family noticed recently that I've been mad about everything. I am 43 and wondered if it were hormonal because I was always a very calm, optimistic and silly person. Everything was getting to me and I myself couldn't handle how I was acting. It was going too far and I was miserable about everything. I researched the other night on herbal pills and came up with this. I explained everything I had been feeling like to my husband and we went the next morning to buy these at [@]. At 5:15pm I took one pill. I could actually feel something...like it was working through my body somehow for the next couple hours. Then at exactly two hours after taking it, I started giggling and feeling really great and relaxed and like myself. I was surprised at how quickly it "hit me"!!! Since then (now two and a half days later) I still feel great!!! That night I slept like a baby and have since. Last night I slept 12-13 hours straight and I NEVER do that! I always tell the girls at work how I never get good sleep anymore and how I'm always woken up when my spouse comes to bed in the middle of the night. Well, not anymore!!! All day yesterday I was calm and relaxed. I've never felt anything like this at all. This is what I've been hoping and praying for! I take one at 8AM (just before work) and twelve hours later at 8PM.
