My dr., an endocrinologist and diabetic specialist, recommended I take this supplement, "300 to 600 mg/day:" My diabetes is largely controlled by diet, but it seems I use less glucogen than before I started taking alpha lipoic acid. I sure wish it would help with peripheral neuropathy--it just gets worse and worse.
