I developed some intestinal gastric issues after taking ibuprofen to treat pain over a six month period. I was put on PPI's. They worked at first, but then didn't seem to be doing the trick. They also caused polyps to form in my stomach. After that I decided to research some more natural solutions. I read all the reviews for this product on any website I could find. I have been taking it for just over a month now and I feel better then I have felt in months. The taste is different, but after a few days I really didn't mind. It made me feel better so I really don't care about the taste. Now, I don't even notice the taste. I am so glad I tried this and I am glad that I don't have to take acid blockers anymore! I highly recommend this product.
I've had digestive challenges for several years, recently including GERD. DGL was suggested to me by a wonderful naturopath as a digestive aid, and this brand in particular was recommended at a health food/supplement store. I use it daily and add slippery elm powder when I'm having extreme acid issues. I like the taste and find it soothes my gut whether I use it before or during meals. Of course, I've also made some dietary changes to help prevent the acid reflux in the first place. Not loving this part of middle age! ;-)
I FOUND NO CONS WITH THIS PRODUCT. IT WORKS FOR ME WITHIN 15 MINUTES. THERE IS NO AFTERTASTE LIKE OTHERS FOR UPSET STOMACHS HAVE. I WILL USE THIS AS OFTEN AS I NEED TO AND RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS. ITS NATURAL AND IT COULD HELP SOMEONE ELIMINATE TAKING AN EXPENSIVE PRESCRIPTION DRUG.
The DGL is truly effective at soothing and healing your stomach. I had to give it a week to start feeling the benefits. Like the other reviews say it is an acquired taste, but I have gotten used to it and don't mind the flavor. It's worth a try!
