I've been using my favorite Gillette deo forever and I've never thought that I'll find anything better until now. I've given a shot to Herban Cowboy and that's all I needed to change my mind. This will be my new deo and I'll recommend for all who is not yet using organic stuff. It smells great and last long. The only thing that could be better is the price and the size. As a guy, this seemed the answer... great masculine packaging with pleasant subtle smell, and after using it for a while figured Herban Cowboy's products were what I wanted in my grooming regiment. However, I recently purchased a few more of the Dusk deodorants, before the summer, and noticed that the packaging was slightly different. It didn't matter to me at the time, plus there was more product as they were now bigger. Anyway, I begain to realize that it just didn't appear to work as well and failed to fight underarm order the way it did beforehand. So I decieded to check the label to see if the ingredients had change any? Sure enough, somethings we missing, mainly, "silver" which is probably what was allowing the original to be so effective. Silver is a safe, natural bacteria killer, and has been known to inhibit the growth of every kind of bacteria for decades, especially during the pre-antibiotic era. [...], Herban Cowboy has unfortunately changed it somewhat as well as removed the silver content from its new formula. I gave it a week to allow my body chemistry time to adjust and wasn't thrilled with the results. The product smells good, it just doesn't last. Everyday by EARLY afternoon I could tell it was losing its effectiveness. It wasn't bad enough to be embarrassing, I'm certain nobody around me smelled my pits, but I did and that matters. I'm by no means vain, but good hygiene is important to me. Clean or not, if a person stinks, they stink. I may give Tom's a try, they make excellent toothpaste. This product just doesn't work well enough for me. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Herban Cowboy is a superior product, and I don't just mean because it's natural. It works better and lasts longer as well. I don't use anti-perspirant. I only use deodorant, and while this product isn't perfect, it's dang good. One of the ingredients is silver, which has anti-microbial/anti-bacterial properties. The product is a great alternative to avoid irratating my skin after shaving. I'm a woman and I find the Dusk scent refreshing to the sweet aromas we are expected to enjoy. Unfortunately, this wasn't it. I gave this product 2 stars because I love the scent, however as another reviewer stated, it no longer contains silver so it only masks odor for a few hours (in the winter!) and on top of that, something in this product makes my underarms itch.
