I used this product exactly as directed and it was terribly irritating to my skin prior to shaving and afterwards. I tried removing all traces of the product with water alone and the irritation remained. The shave itself left much stubble, and I had to reshave with a more common shaving product, but I needed to wait until the next day for the skin irritation to subside. I immediately discarded the remaining product (mostly unused) and would never recommend it to anyone ever.

I bought this shaving cream for my husband due to his sensitive skin. He is always in search of the perfect shave. He said that this shaving cream works well, and the it's size and the fact that it comes in a tube, makes it ideal for travelling. It contains no harsh chemicals, which makes it ideal for those with sensitive skin.

First of all, I am very concerned that drugstore.com did NOT list all of the ingredients for this product on its site. I wanted a more natural shave cream with less chemicals. I received the product and did indeed see the natural ingredients listed on drugstore.com; but there were also a host of other harmful laboratory chemicals in addition to those. I wanted to return the product as I was misled, but I was in need of shave cream right away. I was not happy with this product. It smells good and is cooling, but I had to use a lot of it, it was messy, it clogged my razor, and it simply did not perform well. I understand that different products work better or worse for different folks, and this just wasn't for me. My main concern is that I've ordered several "natural" products from drugstore.com just to receive the product and learn that the chemicals were conveniently left out of the online ingredient list.

I'm not hard to please, but this product is just plain unpleasant. I've shaved with cheap conditioner in place of shave cream in a pinch, and it feels better than this stuff. Unlike some other creams I've tried, this product tends to clog my razor, just like the cheap conditioner I used. You'd think a product intended for shaving could beat a conditioner! It also has a sort of vaguely earthy smell like someone spilled a bottle of cheap cologne on a fern. I mean, I know it's organic, but come on!

I was excited to try this product because it is cruelty free and got decent reviews. Cruelty free is the only thing it has going for it. In practice, this product just doesn't make the grade. I'm going back to Kiss My Face.

I use the product as suggested. It is easily applied and creates a very smooth shave. One thing I must say, is that after 46 years of shaving I have found nothing that prevents nics. This is because they are usually the result of "operator error".

My husband and boys happen to love all things Organic Grooming/Herban Cowboy.... At first, my husband noticed that he had similar experience with the cream (too thin) but as he used it more he got both a closer shave and his skin was more toned and less prone to breakouts. He was glad that he used it more than once or twice because now it is his favorite and says he wouldn't go back to anything else. The price is reasonable considering the products are organic, too.

The local organic food store was out of the old fashioned shave disk that you use in the cup, so hubby tried this. He said it was hard to believe that the same people made this product! He absolutely adores the shave disk, and that gave him the best shave he has ever had. Plus, the cost is ALOT less, and it lasts longer. The cream is too thin, and does not add enough lather. He even let it sit for a little to soften up the stubble, and still walked away with 2 or 3 nicks. Not recommeded here.

I was excited to try this product because of how much I liked the "Dusk" Herban Cowboy bar soap. The scent of this product is great, though the fragrance is much weaker in the shaving product than the bar soap. Unfortunately, the product is watery-thin and I probably got the worst shave I've had in years. My face burns 20 minutes after the shave and I got 7 cuts in one shave. Not a good experience. Love the bar soap, hate the shaving cream.

I strongly recommend Earth Science Azulene Shaving Cream instead. I almost never get nicks and cuts with that product and it leaves me with extremely soft skin all day.
