I had never used chap stick. My lips ended up getting badly sunburned and windburned, so my mom took me to the store to find something to heal them. I found "Lemon Ice" & it soothed my lips as soon as I put it on. My lips were healed in no time & I never left the house without it. I'm now 28 years old & since then, I haven't been able to find Lemon Ice, but Cherry is just as effective. I purchase these things by the dozen because this is the only place I can find them anymore & I'm scared they're going to disappear from here too. Please do not stop carrying this stuff!!! It was a little too sticky for my taste, almost like glue, though it's not as waxy as some of the Chapstick varieties. I also don't know why it's called "ice". I didn't get any sensation of coolness. However, the scent is pleasant and it does stay on your lips a long time. I'd recommend this product to people living in very cold or dry climates, but I probably won't be using it again. It says 'medicated' (it didn't used to, must be for marketing) but I use it daily. It's not 'habit-forming' like some chapsticks which end up making lips feel dryer without constant application. I've tried Softlips, Burt's Bees, Vaseline, Chapstick brand, Alba, et cetera, and Natural Ice is hands down the best. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? It is very difficult to find in local stores and I am glad that I found a source for it. This product is not waxy feeling like almost all of the other lip balm products.
