Many of these brands have not met such criteria and since the FDA does not regulate them, they can say they do whatever without proving it. The heart and other health benefits (including skin, apparently) of Omega 3s and Fish Oil are well-established. VS Most Liked Negative Review Not too excited about the oil "coating"! These are chemicals of plastic origin and I wonder how taking something that is supposed to be good for you (fish oil) could cause greater harm via the very "unnatural" coating?! This information deterred me from taking it again. I wrote to the "Nature Made" company and they minimized my concerns, but didn't really address the "chemical" part of my question at all. Comments about Nature Made Odorless Fish Oil, 1200mg, Softgels, 60 ea: I was skeptical at first over the whole "burp-less" factor of these supplements... After taking them every day for a month I honestly have to say that these supplements are truly "burp-less." It was a really valuable modification Nature Made to these fish oil supplements because now I have no qualms about taking them! Cons Best Uses
Comments about Nature Made Odorless Fish Oil, 1200mg, Softgels, 60 ea: everyone knows that fish oil helps cholesterol, that's what I use it for, but it also helps brain function. I have a special needs child and I can see a difference in his ability to concentrate when he takes fish oil daily. I would recommend anyone with ADHD, sensory processing issues, and/or are on the autism spectrum to try to supplement their medications with omega 3 fish oil. It may be subtle but it helps. Comments about Nature Made Odorless Fish Oil, 1200mg, Softgels, 60 ea: I've stayed away from fish oil tabs in the past because my first experience with them resulted in fish taste throughout the day. So I was delighted to find out there is no fish taste with these! However, it was suggested to me to keep them in the freezer and take them at bedtime, which I have done, so I'm not sure if this may have also contributed to the no-fish taste. As for lowering my cholesterol, it's too soon to know. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (4 of 5 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Nature Made Odorless Fish Oil, 1200mg, Softgels, 60 ea: My dr told me to take 2400 MG a day of fish oil. I used these "odorless" ones which were appropriately labeled as "burpless" at the time. I carelessly bought a huge bottle that was not odorless and was very sorry. I soon learned why these used to be labeled "burpless." I recommend this type of fish oil for anyone who needs to take fish oil and has stomach issues with non enteric coated fish oil capsules. We have trouble finding these locally, so I order several bottles at a time from drugstore.com, so I won't run out.
