Of those I found, glucosamine seems to have the best medical support for safety and effectiveness, so I decided to give it a try. It hasn't worked a miracle, but my shoulder pain and range of motion have improved noticeably in the several months I've been taking a glucosamine supplement twice a day at meals. Furthermore, after starting with Nature Made brand tablets, I switched to a less expensive brand of the same product in the same dose and found that it was less helpful to me.
