NatureMade's vitamins are one of the few that have pursued United States Pharmacopeia certifications. That body verifies through testing that what NatureMade says is in their vitamins actually is and at the doses they state.
That's critical especially prior to becoming pregnant and during pregnancy.

The pharmaceutical representatives samples in the doctors offices seem to be subpar to doses the National Institutes of Health RDA recommends for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
We as consumers have no other real way to know that what these products tout they offer in their supplements is actually true. I trust NatureMade because they go the extra distance to work with the U.S. Pharmacopeia so we know what we're taking in is true to its labelling.

Good product as far as ingredients are concerned, however its very rough on the stomach. They will either make you feel sick (may be the iron) or they will make you super hungry and make you eat a lot of carbs to help from getting sick. Not a good combo if you are nursing and trying to lose weight. I have been taking these throughout my preg, but will switch to gummy vitamins when I start nursing as they are easier on the stomach.

The newer and current formula contains NO artificial colors or preservatives. No Red 40! I would not take something everyday if it had Red 40 and this vitamin does not (even though it is still a red capsule). Read the actual label on the bottle. Do not refer to old images or product info on search engines.

This is by far my favorite prenatal vitamin. It is a large, soft-coated capsule that I found easy to take. It includes both the standard vitamins and minerals needed by pregnant and nursing moms, as well as DHA. Many other prenatals require taking a second (and often costly) supplement to get the recommended dosage of DHA.

I was given this product to sample.

I used the prenatal vitamins by Nature Made without the DHA and was fine. At my 2nd trimester, I switched to this one and right when I opened it, I caught a big fat whiff of fish, and burping it up isn't much prettier. After about a 4 days or so I developed a very nasty rash - although that's probably just me being allergic it. I stopped taking them, although I must say that I won't be missing it. It's been about 5 days now and the rash is slowly (VERY slowly) getting better.

I have tried other prenatal vitamins and this is simply the best.
                              No upset stomach or headaches.
It contains the vitamins & minerals you need.
You only need to take it once a day, unlike some other brands that you take twice a day.
                              It's a great value.
