I love that you only need 2 a day of these, because who can remember to take something 3 times a day of anything to be effective? I would have to say that I've noticed a difference; however, we are using them in conjuntion with the Sam-e mood, liver and joint supplements and also a small dose of Wellbutrin, so I'm not sure which of those is doing the most or just all of them together. However, I like the fact that we are able to use a small dose of the prescription stuff and then supplement with natural herbs and vitamins.

This brand is ineffective. I had been using other 3-times-a-day brands to great effect for over 10 years. I've tested various brands on-and-off and realize using St. John's Wort works well for maintaining mood. This Nature Made 1-Dose is noticeably ineffective. My mood was going down after about 10 days and I finally figured out it was because I had changed to this product. Within 2 days of going back to another 500mg 3x product, my mild depression lifted. If you are using another product that works for you, stick with it.

I was feeling down in the dumps and pretty hopeless. I would always snap at my family and I was just generally in a bad mood. Some websites say it takes a few weeks like 4 to 6 weeks to kick in, but if that's the case then i'm not feeling it's full effects. If i'm not feeling the full effects then I can't wait till it fully kicks in. After about a week of taking it I found myself calmer and more relaxed than usual. Small things no longer bug me. I find that my patience has been increased ten fold and I feel WAY more optimistic. I love this stuff and will be buying again. And again, if i'm not feeling the full effects yet I can't wait till it kicks in fully. :)

I have been taking St. John's Wort since 1997. It is the best for moderating one's temperment. I took a hiatus for 2-3 months in 2010 just to see if I really would notice the difference. Sure enough, I felt edgy and not as easy-going as I like to be. I try to order 5-6 bottles at a time when they are on sale and find the value is great. By the way, I only take one pill a day...not the recommended two. Life is good.

I just received several bottles and the product I received was NOT THE SAME OLD NATURE MADE ST. JOHN'S WORT!!!!! I received tablets, NOT capsules, and the pills are NOT advertised on the bottle as 'time release.' The tablets look NOTHING like the capsules I have been using, happily, for years. The inactive ingredients on the new product are TOTALLY DIFFERENT than on the product I've been using for years.
The new product may be just as effective, it may be better for some, worse for some -- but it is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the 'old' Nature Made St. John's Wort and users -- as well as drugstore.com -- should be aware of that.

this product is good, hard to tell if efective or not, but had some better mood and calmness, not sure if psychological or actual effect of the product. dose is two pills a day, theres just 40 pills in the bottle, could have more or higher concentration in each pill.
