The brands that I tried were Os-Cal, Boniva, Fosomax, and some chewables from the health-food store. They are hard-milled and contain milk products and they are difficult for me to digest because I am Lactose intolerant. These Liquid Calcium, fortified with vitamins A and D are what the doctor prescribed for me. I found, through many stomach discomforts, that I have no reaction to the soft-gels, (they are lactose and milk-free) that they are just what I need, and my last bone-density test was more in the normal range than last time. I used to get them at the market, and that market no longer carries them, so I get them from dugstore.com. You must take 3 of these to even get 60% of the recommended daily allowance of Calcium! That means about 6 of these to really make some difference in the average woman's required intake of calcium per day. Not a good value and you'll run through this jar quickly. As with any OTC supplements, read the fine print on dosage, ingredients, etc. before buying. Pros

After receiving I realized that 1 serving is 3 capsules, and it has only 33 servings. Totally not worth it. The pills are huge.
