Comments about Nature's Bounty Fish Oil, 1200mg, Softgels, 320 ea:

Natures Bounty in 320 ct jar is a good value and it comes on sale not infrequently. Compare the price to others and even to Natures Bounty double-strength capsules and you get the highest amounts of EPA/DHA per dollar spent in this dosage. Careful to note serving size when comparing: Some brands say 2 capsules while this is one capsule per serving. Then also note the amount of DHA/EPA per serving per dollar spent.

I've been on capsules (3 capsules twice a day) plus boosting omega3's in my diet and reducing omega 6 oils for over a year and a half after my blood pressure started inching higher and higher. I've not been able to lose a whole lot of weight yet but my BP has noticeably improved. It's kept me off of meds. Also, as a bonus, eventually some achy and stiff joints started feeling much better (though not perfect of course) and a small benign growth that I had on my skin for over 15 years has pretty much melted away. Can't say for sure it was from the oil but that is a predicted result. I don't believe it's placebo effect - especially for the growth.

Another reviewer here said, probably reviewing another product, that they bought it because it had Omega 6 AND Omega 3 oils. Don't fall for that marketing (more of all omegas are good) as this person may have: Most Americans' diets are already too high in Omega 6 oils according to current research - though some omega 6 IS essential to health. Our body makes its own Omega 9's. The too high ratio is thought to be the root of many of our cardiovascular ills. Americans often have 20:1 omega6:omega3 or higher when 4:1 at minimum is recommended. Why add more Omega 6's when you probably already have too many? Take extra Omega 6's only if your doctor recommends.

Make sure that you have food in your stomach before you take it or it will give you an upset stomach. Large pill -- but most are.

I take 1 gel cap 2x a day. I would suggest this product to anyone. It does not that the after taste that a lot of simular products do.

I purchased this product because it contained both Omega-3 & Omega-6 Fish Oil. It was also on sale and was a bargin for the price
