I bought this product to help with my "stomach issues" because of the recent buzz about probiotics. I must say that I'm impressed. I've never taken anything like this before, and there did seem to be a battle going on in my intestines for the first two days. Nothing horrible, though, just a lot of strange noises! After that everything calmed down, and things have improved ever since. My frequent heartburn is gone - completely - and I am very regular now. And for the price, I can actually afford to take this every day. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it's worked for me.

Ok so I went to my annual womens health checkup and my doctor advised that I should take this medication to help with yeast and vaginosis cause for some reason my body just seems to harvest yeast and I have had this problem ever since I started having children....I also have terrible indigestion and heartburn no matter what I eat. The first night was interesting cause for some reason I woke up wanting to vomit and that only happened once and after that I have taken only one a day but I think I might need to increase to 2 or 3 a day... I have made some changes to my diet and I dont drink alcohol as much either so Im hoping things will change soon. Everything seems to be okay so far besides the every now and then rumbling in my stomach which I feel may be normal...

I have a very bad immune system and find myself on antibiotics frequently. This products assists me by keeping yeast infections (which I'm also prone to) at bay. I cannot always use a dairy product, as I suffer w/my sinuses, so this is a good substitute.

Like many women, I have had recurring yeast infections for many years. My doctor recommended Acidophilus, and it really works! As long as I take two to three capsules per day, I don't have yeast infections, even when on antibiotics. I expecially like the Nature's Bounty brand, and the small capsules are very easy to swallow.

I've never been able to stand up and say for certain any probiotic is better than the next with few exceptions when something is obviously dead. This one I keep in the fridge as all of them. And I find it as useful as any at a good price. That said this is for just one flora and as important as that one is the experts suggest taking other multi flora products. My experiences have led me to think that is true but basically I'll take this too along with a multi. I make my own yogurt and buttermilk and rare do you hear how healthy these are for cardio vascular system too. Heart healthy, sinus healthy, stomach and digestive healthy, anti yeast healthy and bottom line you need to take probiotics if you take antibiotics every time and after you finish a go around with them. This is a good product at a good price and I have to take their word for the flora being active when it arrives. That is hard to judge. And why I take a variety of products including yogurt in smoothies as well s direct and buttermilk.

If you are prone to yeast infections and don't like eating yogurt everyday, this is a must for you! I have suffered with these infections since I was a teenager and could find nothing to keep them from reoccuring. Since I have begun taking one Nature's Bounty acidophilus tablet a day, I haven't had ONE yeast infection. And it's been over three years now! Well worth the small cost per tablet!

I have had several children with a lot of food allergies and intolerances that affected their digestion (translation...lots of yucky diapers). These acidophilus capsules have really helped. I open up the capsules and pour them into bottle/sippy cup and then wait for things to get back to normal. The price in the drugstore was easily 3xs what I pay for them at drugstore.com.
For adults, take one (1) capsule daily, preferably with a meal. As a reminder, discuss the supplement and medications you take with your healthcare providers.
