I'm glad, because I don't color my hair and I probably would not have tried it otherwise. I am 56, with natural strands of (coarser) gray throughout my fine, slightly wavy brown hair. This shampoo, along with the matching conditioner, makes my hair sooooo soft and silky and it does not feel weighed down or greasy the next day as some products do. But the BEST part, for me, is the wonderful, clean smell! It brings me back to shampoos that I used as a child for some reason, and just makes me happy. :) Even my husband noticed and said "your hair smells good!" the DAY AFTER I had shampood! I'll be buying this again and again. VS Most Liked Negative Review Not for me I shampoo every other day normally. With this shampoo (and conditioner) I need to do so daily because my hair gets too oily! I do not have color treated hair though, so maybe I don't need the extra whatevers in it for moisture. If you have dry scalp and dry hair, then maybe this would be a good choice. The smell is pleasant, not fabulous but not offensive either. Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I'm surprised at all the good reviews for this product. I have pretty normal hair without a lot of issues. I used this for the first time today and it left my hair feeling dry and tangled, and it looks like I haven't washed it in days. I can't even run my fingers through it like normal. Maybe it works for others, but definitely does not agree with my hair.

Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I was so excited to try this shampoo because it is sulfate and paraben free and all that other good stuff. I applied the shampoo in my hair and then the same conditioner and ran my fingers through my hair and a big glob of hair fell out! This doesn't ever happen to me! Only a few strands here and there, but not a big chunk! It even clogged my drain and the water wouldn't go down. After I got out of the shower my head started itching really bad! I didn't have time to take another shower so I went to work and my head was itching horribly all day!!! As soon as I got home I took a shower using different shampoo and conditioner and now my scalp is fine. Except from being a little sore from scratching it all day >_< I guess a lot of people like this shampoo and I heard good things about it so I got it but it was a complete horrible experience for me. I must be allergic to something in it.. I'm not sure. And also I noticed sodium hydroxide is used in it.... That is definitely NOT good for your hair!

Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I have a ton of allergies to products but have had a lot of luck with this shampoo. I have been using it for at least 4 years and it is a great everyday product. One "con" is that It doesn't lather very well, so it's easy to use too much.

Cons
Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: There aren't a lot of non-toxic natural shampoo choices for color treated hair -- especially if you don't want really strong fragrance. I use this shampoo and conditioner and I like the fragrance -- I find it pretty subtle and non-offensive and I'm really sensitive to overly perfumey fragrances in personal care products. The one down side is that the shampoo doesn't lather too well, but that's an issue with a lot of non-paraben shampoos. Solution -- put the shampoo on your hair and get your hair wetter, then lather. Does the trick.

Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I'm typically a fan of Nature's Gate products, and this one does everything that it says, but I was surprised by the fragrance. Since products of late have adopted a practice of more natural and gentle fragrances, this reminded me of some harsh, overperfumed smell that was typical of shampoos that my mother would use, back in the 60's. I was disappointed.

Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: Nature's Gate has been our shampoo brand for years, love all the kinds, this smells good and leaves a nice scent on your hair, as does their creme rinses. I've had people ask what I'm wearing and I don't wear perfume so I know it's my hair.

Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I just love the smell of this shampoo. It also works good and ever since I started using people have been complimenting me on my hair color. I haven't colored it, but I am blonde and I know that chamomile is good for blondes. It is a little drying but I use a fizz free serum which seems to correct that.

Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: This shampoo smells good, but it dried out my hair and doesn't protect my color any better than a regular shampoo. It would probably work great if you don't color or need much moisture.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I've used other products with tar extract and other heavy chemicals in an effort to control bacterial dandruff, a problem I've had all my life. Then one summer I bought some chamomile shampoo. The dandruff disappeared. I ran out of the shampoo and the dandruff didn't come back for six months! When it returned I got some more chamomile shampoo, and within days my scalp was clear again. Now I use it for every other wash, and the problem has stayed away. The shampoo is not toxic, unpleasant in any way, and is great for the hair as well. If you've got bacterial dandruff, try it out!
