It lathers better than the other products I've used that are similar like Burt's Bees. I like it's thickness. I don't have to use that much of it to get the job done. However, it only got a moderate rating on Skin Deep website for toxicity. I'm trying to go a more natural route without the harsh chemicals. However, it should be noted, it got a moderate rating mostly for the fragrance that's added and that ingredient is one of the last listed indicating there isn't much of it, so I'm sure it's not as bad as they make it out to be. This product isn't bad overall but it's not perfect. It's a relatively good price for what you get, which is a plus. The smell is just OK, though. It doesn't offend the senses, but it doesn't titalize all that much either. I think it tends to dry out my scalp a bit and the jury is still out on whether it truly protects my color or not. My hair doesn't react as well as other products - shine, bounce, volume. Maybe I need to use a different conditioner...
I will buy it again, don't get me wrong. I may need to explore matching conditioners to see if my hair reacts better.

Decided to try a shampoo without sulfates and really glad I did. Althought it doesn't lather as well as regular shampoo, I still feel it gets my hair clean without being harsh. I also bought the conditioner and both products leave my hair shiny and manageable.

This dries my hair out way too much. There wouldn't be any way to use this without a conditioner follow-up. Unfortunately, the conditioner counterpart makes my hair get greasy by 24 hours later.

It smells great & does work - but if you have very oily hair naturally - try something else!

only use organic products. this smells wonderful and I usually use lavendar-smelling shampoos but love this.

I was looking for a product that doesn't contain sodium laureth sulphate because of all the negative studies regarding this chemical (Which is in nearly all shampoos and laundry detergents). I was very happy with the natures gate shampoo and conditioner. The persimmon geranium rose smells so good and leaves my hair shiny and smooth. An added plus is I am not being poisoned by a chemical that is said to cause brain damage. I would definitely recommend this product.

A friend recommended this product to help me hang onto my color a little longer between salon visits. I'm not sure if it is the UV protection that it claims or the less sunny weather the last couple of months or maybe a combo of the two but something seems to be working. It smells pretty good and lathers a lot better than I expected from an organic product.

This is the second bottle I have bought of this shampoo. I tried it on a whim and after reading the other reviews. And it was on sale at the time. I have long, wav,y color-treated hair and this works great. I do not even have to use a lot of conditioner. It smells terrific all day long.

I really love the scent, lathers very well and love the fact the ingredients are natural and gentle. I shampoo my color-treated hair every other day. The conditioner is great, too. Detangles very well and does not make my hair oily.

I use it daily and it doesn't dry my hair out, nor does it make it greasy. It's also easy on the color. Smells great!
