Most sunscreens irritate my skin and eyes but this product is actually calming and effective. Blends in better than most sunscreens that I have used that contain zinc.

Comments about Nature's Gate Sport Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50, 4 fl oz:

I tried this product for the first time today and was immediately turned off by the texture. It is really hard to rub in and leaves you unsure if you missed a spot since it doesn't easily glide on. Once I started to rub it in my skin immediately developed little red blotches, indicating some sensitivity - I have never had this happen before, but those went away fairly quickly. When I washed my hands after applying, I could not seem to remove the product. It left a nasty Crisco-like feeling of unremovable grease on my hands. I guess going by that experience, the product is waterproof. However I am not sure it protected me enough, and I came out of a few hours in the sun looking a little too pink for this high of an SPF. I still feel I've got the product clinging to me even after washing it off. Think I will keep looking for something else that is truly dry and easier to remove. On the positive side, it did not seem to leave a white cast.

You have to work to rub in this item unless you like the white look. However my wife is sensitive to many things and this worked fine for her. Plus it is fine to use in marine environments. I used in Mexico and the bottle I ordered now will go to Costa Rica.

I love the non greasy feel. It's the first one I've found that isn't greasy.

Great for face- no white residue, full spectrum protection, and does not make skin break out. Since it's mineral-based, it also doesn't burn my eyes. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is based on the Environmental Working Group's review, which indicates it contains potentially harmful ingredients (though no parabens).

I use this product every day during humid New York summers. It's the only cruelty-free sunblock that doesn't leave my skin feeling oily.

I bought two bottles because the parabens are natural. I wish it was more of a satin dry feeling sun block; it's a little too oily for me and for some reason doesn't rub into my skin. It just stays on the surface even after I rub it in really well. I will finish my bottles but probably won't buy any more

They should really have an option for "zero stars". This product is awful. Even when rubbed in, it doesn't stay on your skin. What it DOES stay on is your car... both the interior vinyl and the exterior paint. Any surface your skin rubs up against will become covered with sunblock. Good luck getting it off, too! It stuck to the paint for about 4 months despite repeated washings, New England weather and even tar and bug remover. I finally tried cleaner wax, which just spread it over the door so it is less noticeable. Yup, that's a product you want on your face! I wrote to the company asking for help and suggestions as to how to remove it. They never replied (big surprise). Nasty product. Nasty company, though I suppose it would work pretty well protecting your CAR from UV rays!
