For the longest time I couldn't fingure out why & spoke to a few different hair styliests everyone believes it's due to weather being too dry & my skin/scalp isn't used to it. 3 some years into living here in CO I've just had it so I decided to try Tea Tree shampoo & conditioner to see if it'd help. VIOLA!!!! not only my itchy scalp went away within 4 uses (I used it everyday for 7 days straight trying to cure it & it did by day 4). Not only my scalp doens't itch as bad as it used to for the last 3 some years I also notice a hugh change of "loss of hair". For those of you have dark long hair you probably lose a good chuck of hair washing it, conditioning it, then drying it. (lighter hair probably lose a lot of hair, too it's just harder to see in the bathtub due to lighter hue). I have a hair catcher in my bathtub so It doens't clog up my plumming system & noticed that I don't pick up nearly as much hair after my shower then I used to. I also dry my hair upside down over my bathtub & have all the pieces fall into my bathtub instaad of all over my bathroom floor & definitely noticed I don't pick up nearly as much hair as I used also during drying. There is no sicentific proof that Tea Tree Oil helps reduing loss of hair but my personal exp. definitely speaks for itself. I have even passed on to my brother who doens't have itchy scalp issue but has thinning hair issue who lives in Chicago, IL that's a lot more humid & even he noticed a little bit of a difference. Hope this review helps. I've been using this product for over a month by now & am very happy with it. (both shampoo & conditioner). I didn't give it a 5-star b/c I don't believe in "perfect product" but I am about to order my 2nd shipment so it's definitely a good item. VS Most Liked Negative Review No good for me... I've reccently developed a flaky, red, and irritated scalp, and my hair just got thinner and thinner day by day. I was thinking this product could help me. On the bottle it says, "help provide calming relief for dry, itchy, irritated conditions." and I read the ingredients online and thought the shampoo contains no Sodium Laureth Sulfate, BUT IT DOES! Any my scalp just remains itchy, irritated, red, and flaky after using this product. Probably it's just too dry where I live. But any how this product was no good for me. If you are looking for something with no SLS, I'd reccommend Trader Joe's "Refresh" shampoo, and it's one third the price ! Comments about Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Shampoo, 18 fl oz: Not for me, at all, for reasons, described above. And to tell the Truth, I suspected it: the one INGREDIENT both shampoo and conditioner have is MINT OIL, which I do not tolerate. Pros

Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I had been using a product that irritated my scalp and decided to purchase the Tea Tree Calming Shampoo to help get my scalp back to normal. Unfortunately, after using this shampoo for two weeks it ended up irritating my scalp too. That's unfortunate, since that's exactly what it's supposed to be help clear up, not causing it. I started using a different calming shampoo and my scalp has since gone back to normal, so it was definitely the shampoo and not some other factor. I did like the smell and my hair felt very healthy using this shampoo. So, for those with less sensitive scalps this may be a great product.

Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Shampoo, 18 fl oz: I have thick straight hair that needs to be washed everyday. Recently I replaced my salon grade shampoos with natural products. This shampoo has a good price point and the positive reviews attracted me. The shampoo lathers well, cleans thoroughly and leaves my hair soft and shiny. I didn't notice a tingling or refreshing sensation, but I don't really mind. The only drawback is the scent-- it has a slightly synthetic, almost a medicine cabinet smell to it which is a surprise coming from a natural shampoo. Overall a great bargain and effective cleanser.

Comments about Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Shampoo, 18 fl oz: Helps with my scalp problem (flakiness). It doesn't take much to make it really foam up. A little goes a long ways! It makes my scalp "tingle" while it is on my wet hair so I know it is doing "something good". Really feels good after I shampoo with it followed by the hair mask.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Shampoo, 18 fl oz: It actually made my flakes worse the first few times I used it. I don't know if that is the sign that it is working it's way or what?but it freaks me out a little. The 3rd times I use it then it start working.I also change the temperature of the water to the coldest possible I can handle in the winter.I like it better than the chemical/tar shampoo I used before and from my experience, seems like natural products works better then chemicals on me.The smell is neutral.

Comments about Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Shampoo, 18 fl oz: This, used with the tea tree conditioner, helps keep my eczema under control. I only use cortizone on the bad spots when needed (which is much less now). I'm switching from Tgel/coal tar which I used 2-3 times per week. Pros

Comments about Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Shampoo, 18 fl oz: This was my first natural shampoo purchase. I chose it because is affordable, had decent reviews, and since I have kids the tea tree oil is a nice perk as it prevents lice. I have very oily hair, and it does get my hair clean in one shampoo. Leaves it shiny and it feels good. The only thing is that I have to wash my hair everyday, which is normal with most shampoos for me, but there were a few chemical shampoos that would allow me to go every other day. So if you have super oily hair, this will work but you need to wash it daily. It works great on my kids' hair. I shampoo their hair every other day. It leaves their hair silky and shiny. I do think it might burn a baby's eyes if they are too little to know to close their eyes, because my two year old got some in her eyes once and she cried for a second or two.
