I list myself as a budget buyer but this brand is one of my favorites as I trust the products they make. This tea tree oil lotion is great for skin that needs the cool sensation that this lotion gives after applying. But! This is made with tea tree and other pungent ingredients that might be too strong for the nose of some people. This lotion is meant to calm the skin, and works well with skin that might have irritation with sun burn or arm bumps. As a lotion, the size is great for its price.

If you know what Tea Tree Oil smells like then the product scent shouldn't surprise you. I wouldn't say it smells exactly like tea tree oil but similar. I would say the scent is medicinal. I purchased this for the ingredients; my winter skin is parched and I get itchy dry bumps and needed something healing and moisturizing. It's exactly what I was looking for, very moisturizing and calming. It's a pretty heavy lotion, so if you have oily skin this might not be for you. If you are looking for a light, pretty smelling lotion, this isn't it.

I am allergic to many chemicals in beauty products, and if my skin is already chapped, lotions sometimes burn intensely when I apply them. This product soothes my itchy, painful skin and seems to help it heal. It doesn't cause additional irritation, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing a layer of bacon fat after I apply it! (Some lotions feel that way for me...)
The product does have a distinctive smell. To me, it smells fresh and vaguely medicinal, but I like the aroma and it seems to fade fairly quickly after I apply it.
I wish that I could get by with applying it only once a day. When I could use Gold Bond Ultimate lotion, I only needed to put it on once a day, but I find I need to apply this twice a day with touch-ups on areas where my clothes rub around midday.
I noted above that I use Origins Precipitation lotion, but it doesn't quite moisturize enough and is more expensive than I'd like. The Nature's Gate tea tree lotion was a good compromise!

I have eczema on my elbow (Asian skin). From the reviews I gathered here prompted me to buy the product. Tried it but my eczema is still there. Had my husband (light complected Caucasian) tried it and he developed a rash on his face. Perhaps this product is not meant for your face but the rest of your body. Needless to say we stopped using it, and donated the extra unopened bottle.

Works very, very well and I love Nature's Gate products for being animal friendly, not super expensive, and very effective. However, I must say I am not a fan of the scent of the "tea tree" or whatever is causing the medicinal odor. I will try another variety of the lotion next time.

This lotion is the very best lotion I have ever used to help with super dry hands in the winter. I have tried so MANY different lotions throughout my life and this one is the absolute best yet! I will most definitely continue to purchase this lotion for my hands!

Had a bad outbreak of eczema....had to be treated with steriod cream. My dermatologist thought my choice of lotion was great. Tea Tree lotion has made such a difference. Wish I had discovered it years ago! Try it for any skin outbreaks. Seems to control the itching as well. Inexpensive product for the results.
