Thanks to neighbors who keep dumping cats and kittens into our backyard, we have a houseful of rescued cats (plus an elderly Rottweiler), and this product is the ONLY thing that has saved my sanity! However, I don't use the bottle it comes in; I pour it into a spray bottle of my own (that has an adjustable nozzle). Try it, and you'll be surprised how much easier it is to use.

I've always used this on pet stains, but after reading all the reviews where folks are using it on blood stains, etc. before washing, I'm going to try that next.

Re: the reviewer who complained about the red stains from his cat throwing up - either your cat has a medical problem or you're feeding it food that has too much red dye in it. Cat puke is not supposed to be red. You might try changing its diet; if that doesn't work, please take the cat to the vet. You'll save your floors and your kitty.

Re: reviewers who haven't had any luck using it on hard floors - I use this on my bathroom floor linoleum tile, as well as my kitchen. In our hall and living room, we have concrete floors, and this product has even taken pet stains off that! The trick is all in how you use it. I use an old toothbrush to scrub the liquid right into the cracks between the tiles, as well as into the bottom of the baseboards. You have to get it everywhere in order to conquer the smell. But this stuff works!

Note: if your linoleum is very old, you may have to pop the tiles off, clean underneath them, then reglue them. (Hint: you heat the tiles a bit to lift them off; I've used a regular iron on a medium-high setting, but be sure to use a pressing cloth, to protect the tile.) If you have cracks in your tiles, it's probably better to just replace them, especially if it's a bathroom. But be sure to clean the floor underneath those tiles realllly well with this stuff before you start installing the new tiles.

    Good luck!

This product cleans about as well as any other pet stain remover on the market. I don't get pet "accidents", just the occasional hairball I have to clean up. I have light beige, non-Stainmaster carpet that holds on to red dye (cat food) stains terribly. This product doesn't eliminate the stains entirely. I have yet to find anything that does, even bleach. I hate that this product is not in a spray bottle. I feel like I'm wasting so much by pouring it out. I would go through this bottle way too quickly for my needs.

If you use it on a new pee spot (maybe less than 3 hours old) it prevents staining and seems to remove odor. I've had no luck on older spots.

The only down side is that it seems to leave a stain of it's own, but perhaps I'm just not the best cleaner in the world.

I use the product when cleaning up after my dog when he has diarrhea or urinates on the carpet. I have loaned it to neighbors when cats sprayed inside their cars and when a rental house smelled like urine in spite of a professional carpet cleaning.

The product is great, very effective without relying on masking scents.

My only quibble is that it shoots a stream rather than a course spray, making it difficult to achieve even and complete coverage.
