I told my doctor over 6 months ago I would like to try something else than Lipitor to control my cholesterol. I had been taking it for 12 years. He agreed and suggested red yeast rice. Not any particular brand, but gave me instructions on how to take it. I selected Nature's Plus because I read the reviews and felt it would best work for me. After taking it twice a day, lunch and dinner with Omega 3 oil I was very pleased with my recent check-up. My cholesterol had all good numbers and am very happy with the results.

I take this product for 6 months twice a day, with food, at lunch and dinner. Take Omega 3 oil as well. My total cholesterol numbers are all in line and my doctor is thrilled I did this with out Lipitor which I had taken for 12 years. Very pleased with the results.

This is the only brand to buy if you are using it to monitor your cholesterol! I took another brand when I ran out and my cholesterol went up 25 points. The only change to my diet was the different brand of Red Yeast Rice. I told my doctor, she said ""Get back to the brand that works!" I chose this brand after reading about it in Prevention Magazine. I've been using the The Red Yeast Rice for almost 18 months my Total Cholesterol droped from 265 to 200 yes it did contain Lovostatin we know it is natural but I can not talk about any side effects cause i didnt notice any changes. since it has Lovostation laboratory test for the liver funcion is a must. one more advice take it daily PM (One tablet) along with Omega 3 for a better result.
