I picked up for the price point and for having both 5-HTP and St. Johns. I found it to be OK, but got far and away better results using the Natrol brand 100 mg 5-HTP alone.

I am a great believer in natural nutritional supplements. These aren't all natural.
There are things you need to know about St John's Wort and I'm not going to list them all here but with regular use, you may find a sun sensitivity. And prolonged use of St John's Wort can promote catracts - something rarely discussed - with sun exposure. Sunglasses recommended.
5-HTP is serotonin - make sure that you can take serotonin and that it isn't contraindicated with other conditions or meds.
I really like this one and like to have it in the cabinet. I don't use it that often because there are two other combination supplements which I prefer.

It has been my savior for years. Don't have to use chemical anti-depressants thanks to St. John's and 5-HTP. Good combination.

I am in the middle of menopause and suffers from mood swings, anger to crying. I feel this product helps me to level off and feel and act calm and happier. I did not want to take medications or use hormone treatments. This was a more natural alternative and it has worked for me.

I am not sure what the previous posting is talking about with it needing two different things and only having one, I looked at all the other St. John's Wort offered and they all had Hypericin but not that other thing she was talking about!

This worked great for me, my only concern is its interference with my Birth Control but if I have choose between using back up methods and not taking this, I'll choose back-up methods!

I usually use another St. John's Wort formula, however I thought I'd give this a try since it combined the B vitamins and had a bit of the 5 HTP (low doses combined with SJW are supposed to be okay). Anyhow, after trying this...my panic attacks started up, I was eating chocolate like a pregnant woman again and I just felt the need like I was craving "something" constantly! I cannot say anything nice about this product as far as the effects go!! After realizing the contents on this bottle vs the one I usually take I noticed that this Nature's Way is missing a "key ingredient"...hyperforin!! You need both hypericin and hyperforin in your SJW for it to work properly! Will NEVER buy again and I recommend anyone who's looking for a good SJW to make sure the product you choose has both. Good luck!
