Very effective against colds and flus. Whenever my family takes them we feel better within afew hours. Tablets taste good and are easier to take than the syrup. I have recommended them to many people. We have not experienced any adverse side effects.

Just to be on the safe side I take one in the morning and one before I go to bed...so far so good..I travel alot on public transportation (overcrowded subways busses, and trains) so as an added measure I use the Sambucus elderberry lozengers. the taste is very strong but not unpleasant at all, I actually like the flavor...easily dissolve...and the protection they provide is priceless. Drugstore.com offers these at a great price..I have seen them sold at three times the price elsewhere. another great deal from Drugstore.com thank you!!

I take it during flu season--and do not have a flu vaccination. I really believe it has kept me cold- and flu-free for the past few years--even though lymph nodes were removed during breast cancer surgery which comprised the immune system. Also, being in the form of a tasty lozenge is a plus.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I'm a big fan of the Sambucol syrup, but you have to admit the 4 oz. bottle is not convenient for travel or keeping on your person for emergencies. I had to travel while just over a cold in December, and picked these up for the first time: I was glad I did, since the plane seemed filled with coughing, sneezing and otherwise sick passengers of all ages. One lozenge every few hours seemed to have done the trick, since I avoided picking up the germs -- A nice trick during flu season. I keep these in my bag and my desk at work in case of sudden coughing from the cubicle mates.
