Do not rinse if nasal passage is completely blocked or if you have an ear infection or blocked eats. When we get allergy symptoms, we use nasal rinses- these plastic squeeze bottles are easier and more packable than the "neti pots" so many use.
An Indian friend of mine says they've been using nasal rinses in India for a long time- it's a good way to treat nasal symptoms without needing to use any medicine.
Sometimes it takes a few days of consistent use to work on congestion symptoms, but you feel the clearing of your sinuses right away.
You can also make your own saline solution by mixing in 2-3 tsp of NON-iodized salt per liter of water- and you can fill the bottle with warm tap water. (The boxes may say to use distilled water, but, I figure, it's just passing thru- plus if you can DRINK tap water, you should certainly be able to use it for nasal rinse!) [If the saline stings your nose, you can also add 1 tsp of bicarbonate of soda.]
(Hint- You may need to bend over and blow your nose with your head turned each way, afterward, depending on whether your sinuses curve or not. Or else, you may get a runny nose surprise when you lie down.)

I HAVE USED NEDIMED FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS AND FIND IT TO BE VERY EFFECTIVE. HOWEVER, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WHEN YOU CHANGED THE STYLE OF THE PACKETS. I MUCH PREFERRED THE TUBE PACKETS AS THEY WERE SO MUCH EASIER TO OPEN AND PUT INTO THE BOTTLE. WITH THE SQUARE PACKETS SOMETIMES I HAVE TO MAKE 2-3 CUTS BEFORE I CAN GET IT OPENED. I WOULD BE VERY PLEASED IF YOU WOULD RETURN TO THE TUBE PACKETS.

This is a great system for those with allegies. In the morning (and/or evening), just fill the bottle with water and the packet and lean over the sink. Spray the mixture up one side of your nose and blow out the other or let it drain. After a small amount of practice, it only takes a minute and all the "stuff" like dirt and pollen is out of your nose.

I use my Neti Pot with Neil Med Sinus Rinse Daily, I don't get sinus infections like I used to. I am very pleased with the results. I don't wake up in the night stuffed up and if I am in dust/pollen I can use it more than once a day. There is no side effects and I am not droggy.

At first, I thought ~ oh no this is too gross! After having several sinus infections moving into bronchitis I decided to give this a try. Totally amazed after using this system, how I have not had a sinus infection for over two years!!! Allergies are a problem where I live, this has also helped to keep things cleared out, thus reducing my need to see the doctor! I use the bottle, in the shower after I have washed my hair, getting more humidity in the air. Works like a charm!!
