But when I had asthma symptoms and took this, it literally exploded in my nose -- asthma can cause acid breath, and baking soda (1 of the 2 ingredients) reacts with acid, producing heat and releasing gas. I also have diabetes, which also produces acid breath, and is worse when I'm ill. Within a fraction of a second, the chemical reaction scalded my nose and the pressure from expanding gasses pushed the reacting mix up into my sinuses. This is a great product IF you don't have acid breath -- but if you do, it can cause a painful problem! REVIEWS Reviewed by 138 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros

Comments about NeilMed Sinus Rinse Regular Refill Packets, 100 ea: I have been using these packets in the Neil Med positive pressure bottle for my chronic sinusitis and they have worked wonders to clear my nose. Recently I had sinus surgery and used these packets up to six times a day right after surgery and it was so helpful in keeping the sinsues clean. Comments about NeilMed Sinus Rinse Regular Refill Packets, 100 ea: This is great!!! I haven't slept this well in YEARS!!! I used to sneeze every morning while I was getting ready for work and my nose ran like crazy the whole time. This stopped it the very next morning!!! I thought I had other issues keeping me tossing and turning all night..well I must have been just struggling to BREATHE! I will never be without it. I do mix for the hypertonic solution, it seems to work best for me. I have already recommended it to all my friends! Who would have thought something like this would change your life?! Remember DO NOT USE UNTREATED TAP WATER! I use distilled. Pros

Comments about NeilMed Sinus Rinse Regular Refill Packets, 100 ea: You can easily make your own---1/4 teaspoon sea salt and a pinch of baking powder to correct the pH. The envelopes are convenient and great for travel. I decided to live large and buy the prepared stuff, and it's always the right strength. Pros
