This product provides relief for hard-to-treat neuropathic pain (in my case non-diabetic). It doesn't numb the area but changes the nature of the pain sensation to much more tolerable. Although relatively costly, it is worth it. Neuragen Liquid is more potent but the gel is easier to use, although takes time to be absorbed.

I had high hopes for this product based on reviews by others, but the smell is horrible and not only that, the smell does not fade. It was so bad I could not sleep until I finally got up and washed it off. The claim was that it had a pleasant floral scent, but this was not even close to true with this product. If you are not bothered by a strong chemical smell this may be a good product for you, but if you are sensitive to scent, then do not waste your money. It also did not do much for the pain in my feet (from diabetic neuropathy).

Our use is for nerve damage. So far the best of topical preparations we have used. Wish it was cheaper.

This product is the best we can find to relieve nerve damage pain. Not 100 per cent, but effective. Smells good; not greasy. Everyday use. Quite expensive but "Thank you Drugstore.com" for the best prices!

Comments about Neuragen Topical Gel, .28 oz:

I use this product daily for post-herpetic neuralgia, and re-apply a couple times over the course of a day. Then I can forget about it and any concern about pain. Goes on easily with no stinging skin or numbed fingers. It doesnt cause any stinging (like other products) when I work outside in hot weather, and stays put quite well. Its easy to clean off fingers with no residue. I like the refreshing smell. The only thing not so good it that it's expensive.
