Unlike a few other reviewers, my skin has not grown immune to the products contained in the kit. Instead, the products have gradually improved my skin over the past year - a definite plus. After only 2 days of using the product, my husband and I have noticed the redness decreasing and the bumbs slowly disappearing. Some of the best advice I can give to folks is to be VERY aware of where you put the product and how to best use the product. First, make sure when you first start using it, that you only put the product on the acne you already have (in my case, I only use all 3 of the products on my cheeks). When I got it near my forehead and near my eyes, it completely dried me out. The second thing to keep in mind is in regards to the night-time cream you wear. My rule of thumb is to let the night cream be the only thing on my face for about 20 minutes, and then I put on some sort of moisturizer. I have found that the night medication is VERY drying, and 20 minutes is long enough to let it soak in and follow it with a moisturizer. FYI: The use of moisturizer has not affected how this product works:) THANK YOU NEUTROGENA!!!!!!!! It cleared up a lot of the little bumps near my hair line, and the occasional ginormous pimple we all get. It does dry out the skin, but I have really oily skin, so it works well. I used the day lotion for about a month, but it starting making my skin more oily and did nothing for the redness, so I gave it to my mom. Then I started using Neutrogena Clear Pore Toner in the morning with the Almay makeup line for oily skin, which works great. Overall, I loved what this has done for my skin. The night lotion stings my sensitive areas (nose and upper lip) so much that I had to face a fan. Its also itchy! Oh and not to mention that my face got so dry/flaky. I was a little unsure about ordering this product, since reviews were mixed, and some wrote it made their skin worse, too. I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did, because in a week I saw great results, my pimples were almost all cleared up. The moisturizer smells awesome, and the acne medication works. I have seen an improvement, and the kit is not too expensive. Another tip - When you take a shower, use Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Scrub on your nose, and then twice a week, use a mask (Queen Helene Masque, Mint Julep). I've never had major acne, but I've routinely had multiple blemishes that I've spent 20 minutes every day covering up with make-up (foundation *and* concealer). Until now, nothing worked for me. But I started seeing real results with this system, and so I started going without all the concealing makeup. This product gave me clear skin *and* 20 minutes of every day back! I love how streamlined the system is (two manageable steps, morning and night), the results (MUCH less acne if done consistently), and the individual products (the cleanser is a whiz at exfoliating; the overnight lotion really shrinks 'em; the day lotion is light and matte and SPF). I actually get compliments on my skin, and how often does that really happen?
