I also had concerns as other Neutrogena products would dry out my skin. There is an exception to every rule & this surely is it. I have been using this product for the last 12-15 years. This is a product that does what it says it does. In March, 2007 I developed Rosacea, a skin condition of unknown cause. Some call it Adult Acne. I was also told I had excema on my face. I was 52 years old, my body was in menopause & my face was in puberty. You also have an intense amount of pain in your face with Rosacea. Unless it was cold & gentle I literally endured more pain when my face was touched. I continued using my Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner as it was one thing I did that made my face feel better. When I went to my dermotologist I brought all the products I used on my face including the Neutrogena toner. I was told that all the products I had brought were very good products & to keep using them. The dermotologist has me using two topicals that I apply to my face daily & the Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner has been incorporated into my daily facial care. The last time I saw my dermotologist (about a month ago) he told me to keep doing whatever I am doing as my face is doing & looking well. I'm not saying the Neutrogena toner keeps the Rosecea in check all on it's own, I am saying it is an important part of my facial care. One other thing I have been doing for a long time is to use a moisturizer with a SPF of 30 daily on my face. So I never look nice & tan, but my skin is healthier for it. I also have less of a chance of a Rosacea flair-up. Will I ever stop using Neutrogenia Alcohol-Free Toner? Only if they stop making it or I die - once I find a good thing why let go?! It's pretty much scented water. It leaves your face sticky even when you use a little bit. I am really disappointed. I will not be buying this product again. I have very oily skin, but have to be careful about using something that is too strong, as the result will be my skin producing more oil. This toner is excellent for cleansing the oil from my skin, without being harsh. Pros

I don't like to wash my face twice at one time because it makes it feel dry and I don't like that "squeeky" clean feeling on my face. So on the days I need a heavy duty clean, but don't want to double wash, I use this toner after washing . I also use it to "wash" my neck, collar area, and decollete before applying moisturizer and sunscreen whenver I wash my face without taking a shower (like the mornings, I'm a night showerer). Also, I love the smell. So clean and light. It baffles me that others didn't like it. I wish I could make my bed smell like this. It would be a perfect fabric spray smell. Pros

Cons Best Uses Comments about Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner, 8.5 oz: I do like this toner b/c its alcohol-free and leaves my face dirt free after washing & exfoliating. I wash and exfoliate twice a day and then put this stuff on. You'd think that after washing my face in the shower I've removed all the dirt and oils. This however proves me wrong b/c after applying this to my face with a cotton ball, it does sometimes show that I still had dirt on my face. This takes care of that. I wanted this to make a difference with clearing up my acne already on my face, but it doesn't seem to be doing that. Maybe I need to give it more time. I do feel like it prevents more bumps from forming though. I plan on using this in the morning and putting on Rosehip seed oil as a toner at night. Pros

Comments about Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner, 8.5 oz: This has to be the the only product I currently own from Neurtogena. The best part about this toner is that it is alcohol free. I use it twice a day and whenever I wash my face. Its very cooling, balances the oily and dry parts of the face. It smells very soft and refreshing. It instantly moisturizes, leaves skin feeling smooth, and prepares it for your serum, and moisturizer/sunscreen. Highly recommend it! Pros
