Comments about Neutrogena Beach Defense SPF 70 Lotion, 6.7 oz:

I was planning for a week-long trip to Jamaica and needed a good sunscreen because my fair skin hadn't seen the sun since last summer. I also do regular skin care treatments, so I needed to protect my even more sun-sensitive skin. We bought this in the lotion form and also the spray for easy reapplication because I have had good success with Neutrogena products and this said it was good for the beach. The lotion had a pleasant smell, moisturized decently, went on easily and worked very well. We put this on 20-30 minutes before we were in the sun (which is a must for ANY sunscreen to work properly) and it spread very easily and evenly, especially for it being a 70 SPF. I was worried it would be very pastey and leave a white cast which it did not. We reapplied after swimming and it didn't get overly greasy. One bottle + the spray was good enough to last two people all week with multiple reapplications. I did not try this on my face because I am very acne prone, so I can't comment on that but I had no skin reactions otherwise. Let's just say that many fair skined people who didn't choose a good SPF were jealous of us. We were able to play sand volleyball for hours without getting fried. Although I am smarter than I was in years past and was concious about not getting too much sun or sunbathing, I still had a nice healthy color despite the 70 SPF and did not burn once. I would recommend this product and will use it again.
