I've used the regular Neutrogena Body Clear and will stick with it because I agree with the reviewer that said this smells like smelly armpits. It will help clear up skin if used regularly, but if you're like me and not very consistent with using it, it doesn't work as well. But don't buy the grapefruit version. STINKY! There is another brand that smells much better than either Neutrogena product and it's also available on drugstore.com.

I have PCOS and around 21 began suffering from acne for the first time in my life. I'm 29 now and still searching for that miracle product to give me MY skin back. Until I was about 27 I had severe acne with everything from little tiny blackheads to deep painful cystic bumps. I have blemishes on my cheeks now from the years of failed treatments. I've always been a fan of Neutrogena and I bought this product in the facial and the body wash just because it was a new one. Ironically before it arrived my friend told me about how wonderful Pink Grapefruit Neutrogena is for the skin.

My initial thoughts about this product were "wow really smells like grapefruit!" and "here we go again." I used it a few times and it seemed ok. Not much better than other products, still not worse. The facial scrub isn't very foamy, but the body wash gets very foamy and surprisingly feels moisturizing also. For a month I didn't use either every day. I use maybe 4 times per week and half the time I follow with Dove Cream Oil Body Wash just in case the Neutrogena is drying. I follow by slathering on Baby or Neutrogena Body Oil then rinse it off before stepping out of the shower. (with or without the extras, I haven't noticed any out of ordinary dryness)

I didn't notice any changes until my hubby (who is a compulsive pimple popper YUCK) performed his routine back/body search looking for pimples on me he could pop before I could stop him. He was disappointed when he found NOTHING. I thought "hmm maybe the stuff really does work." Then i thought further. I ALWAYS get a couple of VERY painful DEEP cystic nodules before my time of the month. They last for about 10 days no matter how much I put on them. This month there were NONE! That time completely caught me off guard this month because I didn't have that telltale problem!

It's only been one month, and I'm not saying this is a miracle treatment, but I am definitely pleased to give this product the respect it deserves. I will monitor through the second and third months to see if I'm even still getting pimples or not because I honestly have no clue. My skin feels smoother but I notice more changes in my face than my body. Still I'm back today to order more of each for myself and some for my hubby so he doesn't use all of mine! I may be back for a second review. My hub has back acne and he always says his back itches .I'm going to begin a regimine and will monitor changes to see if another review is necessary.

***For acne sufferers: I only do this on my face, but I'm sure it's the same on face or body. In addition to this product, I cleanse my face and neck almost daily with green alcohol (any kind but review posted on this site under rite aide green rubbing alcohol). I follow with Thayer's Rose Petal Alcohol Free Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera (review also posted there) also use the Neutrogena facial moisturizer with SPF 15 and Vitamins...I think A, K, B, and E. It's GREAT!!! I don't think they sell it on this site but I noticed more youthful, refreshed looking and feeling skin immediately. Sometimes I use the face wash, then follow by the alcohol and Thayer's then moisturize. Others i use just face wash and moisturizer or just alcohol and Thayer's and moisturizer. My skin is now SO soft and smooth. Those old blemishes have not completely faded away, but they have largely decreased and there are only a few remaining stubborn blemishes that I don't even notice anymore. In addition I'm running my hands over my face now and all I feel is SMOOTH, soft, BUMPLESS skin!

Best fragrance of any salicylic acid wash. I use it every day after training and it has eliminated chest/back breakouts.

Last year (at age 34), I started getting acne breakouts on my back, chest and shoulders. Since I am a longtime Neutrogena user, I decided to try this product. Within days of use, my body acne cleared up and I do not break out as long as I use this at least every other day. A little goes a long way- it lathers really well on a body pouf. I do not feel that it dries out my skin, however I only use this on my back, chest and shoulders after using a moisturizing body wash on the rest of my body. The grapefruit scent is refreshing and not overpowering (in fact, I do not even smell it on myself once I am dried off and dressed). It is worth the extra step to use this as I could not be more pleased with the results. And I find the price reasonable for the product's effectiveness.

Before this, I'd purchased the CVS Clarifying Body Wash with good results. It doesn't smell spectacular, but it really cleared up my skin. Not that it was in bad shape, but I do tend to get occasional body break-outs. Anyhow, I thought i'd "class it up" a bit with a brand-name, plus I'm a product junkie :) The Neutrogena Grapefruit wash lathers really well and has a more uplifting scent, but I got a little tired of the smell each morning. I'm realizing too that a bunch of lather does not equal effective. For the price and better results, I'm going back to the "generic."

I am an acne-prone 30 something with mild back breakouts, and decided to give this a try. I shower only once or twice a week (baths the other days) which is when I use this. Because I like the smell, I used it all over. I have noticed an improvement of my back breakouts. But also, I noticed my upper arm bumps pretty much went away, as well as zits on my bum. Seriously. Not to mention I have sensitive, rash-prone skin, I am pleased to report that this product (so far) has not caused a problem. The skin on my arms is so smooth my daughter sits there and rubs it and compliments me on it.
